Shell out $45 for both a heating gun which is $30 and Artic Silver compound which is $15 and follow one of thos "FIX YLOD Video Guides" in youtube (I've done it and worked seemingsly). Once you get your working ps3 again, eBay it for $320 and purchase your Slim. Atleast, that's what I'll do.
I think it's pretty solid. I've experienced absolutely no lags at all. I still don't quite understand the whole posse thing. The "free roam" mode is the actual lobby, so this is the location where you choose what it is you would like to do. Thing is I was walking around and got a posse invite. Once I agreed, I saw myself figinting enemies in their hideouts while securing a cart with what seems to be treasure. What confuses me is that on your map, you still see both, players that are in your posse and other players which seem to be in free roam. Can the free roam guys ever interfere with a mission? This is what got me lost.
No. Although I did rifle the hell out of a deer that stood in my way last night in RDR which forced me to fly off this cliff, resulting in my horse, Betta,(Yeah i know I name my horses lol), dieng from such a drastic fall FEAR THE DEER!
Scenerio: 1,000,000,000 men/guards/villians whatever you want to go with, armed with every piece of man power you can imagine, ALL surrounding Kratos, Solid Snake, Master Chief, RYU from Street Fighter, Marcus Fenix, Dante from Dante's Inferno, Dante from DMC4, Bayonetta and Chris Redfield. Who makes it out alive? How many kills did he or she have after surviving? How many kills did the others get before dieng!?
Game on...
My impressions so far ... its closer to Halo CE than the rest, higher learning curve, less aim assist. The weapons feel great altough i'd like to see the reticle for the pistol be less opaque as my old eyes loose it in the middle of an instense cqc battle :P. The Shotgun is godly again (yay!!], i didnt get the try all the new weapons such as Sniper, Beam, Laser sniper??, Plasma Cannon, Grenade Launcher but from what i've heard they're all great, some say the laser and the plasma cannon are a bit OP atm.
Armor abilities, i love Evade, so much so that i'd play exclusively as an Elite just to use this ability all the time (pweeeeze Bungie?), Sprint is really hand for objective rushes and slayer gametypes, Armor is a great allrounder (run into a few peeps in a small room, chuck a few grenades and AL = Win), Camo worked well but i didnt use it much, didnt try Jetpack at all yet so have no impressions of that.
Overall i'm having a blast with it. Cant wait for invasion and the other gametype to be unlocked.

If you select "Grab Bag" from the matchmaking menu's playlist, it'll give you the option to play "Covy Slayer" which is a slayer match of just Elites. You will be able to play as an Elite and perform it's unique abilities. I was dashing all night last night! It's amazing. It was a good idea for Bungie to throw this in so that we have a taste of how to control an Elite before the Invasion mode is unlocked.
It's brilliant, plus the "Covy Slayer" mode is insane where you can perform an Elite dash left, right, foward or back. It's also introducing other higher scaled weapons which is unknownlingly bringing back the "skill factor" back in Halo.
I wouldnt care, if they dont want to sell games with demos then they will lose money by doing thatraylewisnfl52
They would definatetly lose money because I doubt the average gamer would sit down excessive hours trying to get a demo to a game he might potentially get. Good point.
...decides to charge achievement points for demos instead of just downloading it quickly. (i.e Achieve 5,000 and get Splinter Cell Conviction Demo or 50gp for older demos, so on and so for). Almost as if they were throwing in a challenge to force you to play (x) amount of games to earn (x) amount of points to be eligible to download a demo. Would this idea irritate you or do you feel it's a good clever way to get gamers to game again.
Your thoughts.
