The question was Silent Hill or Resident Evil, with the added Silent Hill is scarier but is RE a better game..

That said, not including the fact that Resident Evil is my all time favorite game haha, I always thought it was better than Silent Hill. Not as scary maybe but still plenty scary/intense. Gameplay-wise definitely RE. RE4 i loved although that strayed from survival horror a lot, 5 was pretty bad and in no way survival horror same with how 6 is looking. Silent Hill is keeping up with the scares but the games are still kinda broken :/ If Silent Hill could give a performance like RE4 but retain its survival horror (and, except of late, good storytelling) then itd be the best!

Resident Evil series except 5 (s*cked)

Dead Space 1 & 2 (although more 1 than 2)

Condemned 1 & 2

Silent Hill

Manhunt (doesnt exactly fit the genre but you had to survive and it was scary haha ^^')

There areA LOT of great quotes but one of myfavorite that i always remember is: "I LOVE THE SMELL OF ANTHRAX IN THE MORNING" haha. it was in a ps1 game called "Rouge Trip," by the playable character Anthrax.the gamehas a lot of other good quotes but this onestuck. itis alsothe number one game ive ever had the most fun playing! i canhonestly say thatthis is the only game that has made mesh!t my pants laughing lol.i miss it...

RE movies are horrible, nothing like the game at all. Silent Hill was the only game based movie that has even come close.

i was just sayin how the movies in general wernt bad. they sucked w/ following the game because they just took little bits and pieces out of each Re game and put it into one story. following the original game wouldve been better...

p.s. Silent Hill was an awsome movie and is probly one of the closest game to movie adaptations
