It's finally here, after seven long years. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been released :)
I went to my local GameCrazy around 11:30 to go pick up the game. Not that much people were there, yet, so we didn't worry. The store was only letting 2 to 3 parties in at a time, for some odd reason. When we finally got it, we put it in our Wii, and played the night away (and are still playing it!).
The Controls:
So far, I've only had a chance to use the Wiimote + Nunchuk configuration, and I must say, it feels great. A is single attack, B is special attack, Z is to guard, and the thumbstick is to move/jump/etc. If you're not feeling the control layout, you can always change it. Every single button is customizable.
The Game:
On SSBB's website, it was stated that 'If you're good at Melee, it will not help you at all in Brawl', which is true. The game has a new sort of feeling when playing it, primarily the gravity and how fast you move. One thing that remains the same (for the best) is the fast, frantic gameplay. New items, characters, levels, not to mention the fight for the Smash Ball all add to the quirkiness of the game.
The Levels:
There are many great new levels in this game. My favorites would have to be Pictochat and Warioware. These two compared to the rest, are the most creative. Some stages from Melee also return, such as Rainbow Ride. The level editor (although I haven't used it yet), looks pretty slick and intuitive in creating levels.
My Characters:
Over 30 fighters brawl in this game. My favorites would be Link, Fox, C. Falcon (once I unlock him), & Mario. I'm pretty sure I'll get new favorites over time (Snake? Sonic?), but as of now, it's those four.
The New Ones:
The starting new fighters are great. Pit, Metaknight, King Dedede, Pokemon Trainer, and more all have their ups and downs, but mostly ups :) I haven't played as all of the new characters yet, so I'll update this upon doing so.
Haven't tested yet:
A list of things I haven't tested out just yet.

Oh yes a last note. If you're thinking about buying SSBB, stop thinking, and buy it.
