So it's been long enough since this game was released that I should be able to afford it. But...I can't remember what its called. Oh man have I been racking my brain but I am stumped.

It is like a Wing Commander game or made by some of the same peeps. You control a Starship and you have to deal with trading and combat from a Comanders perspective. Space combat, all that stuff. I believe it was originnaly a PC game but they made an XBox 360 version or update.

Not critically acclaimed or nothing, but I was a huge Wing Commander Fan. This game seemed to follow the basic mold, Ijusthave no idea what it was called. It's about a year old. Any ideas? Oh man, its killing me.

There has to be a genius out there that can save me this brain ache.

Thanks!

last game my mom bought for me was GTAIV.

Your Mom bought you GTAIV? What is wrong with her? I have no idea how old you are, but the fact you needed someone to buy you a game speaks volumes. I tell you, that crap drives me crazy.

I was in the game store the other day and this 8-10 year old kid was having his Mom buy him GTAIV. I couldn't bite my tongue and I straight up told the Mom she was whack on my way out. I think she may have listened cuz she was examining the game when I looked back. The look on her kids face ( like he wanted to kill me ) was more than enough justification as to why that kid shouldn't be playin games like that.

I'm with Butteman12 on the Lost Planet comments.

Sure, seeing big name games on this thread is no surprise. The hype sometimes is unacheivable to many. But Lost Planet was definetly a no name good time. I'm playing on normal difficulty and it is sorta tough. Maybe thats why so many peeps have it on their lists. A game doesn't roll over for you so it sucks.

the original xbox games that are backwards compatible on the 360. Can you play your old xbox games live on the 360? Or are they only available in their single player or offline multiplayer modes?

Hope that clears up my ?

Have you tried Multi player online w/ any of your B/C games? I'm curious because I saw NFL 2K3 on the new list. Maybe an end to the only Madden option. 2K8 is good, but 2K3 was better. Too bad it's not 2K5, but supposedly that can never happen.

So can you play the B/C games online?

You dock my account points and make me a bad guy for my last post? Thats ridiculous. The " What games to get thread " did/ does not apply to my post or question! That thread is completely generic and the games mentioned in it do not state what would be good for a child of 10.

That I cannot come here and ask a good question in good faith is completely oulandish. I suppose I will have to find another place where I can talk to gamers without fear of being banned or disciplined. You know I bet I'm not the only parent out there that would have found the thread I created useful.

A big thank you to the gamers that had time to reply and gave me some suggestions.

Hello everyone. I needed some help with picking out some games for my 10 year old son, so I figured I'd visit here and ask the Experts.

I've gotten him the DS for X-Mass and I also picked up Super Mario 64 DS. I've heard that the game is kinda a turd, but he did ask for that game from Santa. Now I'd like to score him a few games that are hopefully better than that one. Can ya'll suggest a few titles that you think he would enjoy? He loves Mario and Spyro, but any game that is quality can hold his attention. I'd also prefer that the titles brought up be older titles so I can score them used. He has no experience with the system, so anything is new to him.

Thanks in advance, and please bear in mind that the gamer is a 10 yr old.

I have an intercooler and it works great. My 360 still got the RedRings, but had nothing to do with Intercooler. So amybe the attachments don't stop inevitable RRD, but it sure blows a ton of hot air from the console. That can't be a bad thing.
