@ronaldmcreagan: Because where would the tension be if you could just Rambo your way through it? Most RE games have a way of unlocking weapons with unlimited ammo, but the scarcity of ammo is part of the experience. You have to be smart with the fights you pick.
The game does indeed look properly scary, even more so perhaps than Resident Evil 7 where the atmosphere was incredible. Zombies have never looked so menacing!!
And they've not held back on the violence and gore either - I hope they have the violence and gore warning at the start of the game, just for old time's sake.
@lamespot69: They won't remove the micro-transactions, nor should they. They basically funded the ongoing development of content on GTA Online, but at the same time it was possible to progress in the game without spending a penny - which I did and I know of many others who can say the same.
At the moment, there is a massive difference between what you can get as rewards for missions and the cost of things, to a far greater degree than GTA had even at the outset and this needs to be addressed - things need to be achieveable without actual further cost, but still allow players the choice to shortcut their way to it if they choose to.
Also, I'm not really sure the survival aspects of eating, sleeping and maintaining the health of your horse are going to translate well to the online mode, but that will become clear in time I guess.
@SprSynJn: I think you'll find some games do have cross platform and MS have openly said they'd like it. Even developers such as Bethesda have openly stated Sony are the ones holding cross platform back. Numerous industry sources are saying the same thing so I'm inclined to believe it.
@CallMeDuraSouka: Looking at various forums, it seems many have taken the leap, myself included. A decent number of people on my friends list seem to have purchased it as well.
