Yes, unfortunately you are going to need a HDCP compliant monitor. Please note that your monitor is most likely to be HDCP compliant if it is 20" or higher and was manufactured in 2007~2008.

If you don't know your monitor model number, you are going to have to use Belarc Advisor which will find the exact model number of your monitor without any problems.

You are great, moshakirby! I followed your guide step-by-step and today (since two weeks) I am finally running my PS3 with sound + video on my monitor! I love you! GTAIV looks great! :D

I bought the following:

6FT GOLD HDMI TO DVI-D (Ebay)
Mini Jack 3.5mm Male to 2x RCA Phono Female Adaptor
3.5mm Stereo Coupler Jack to Jack (Female-Female)

It works JUST GREAT!! THANK YOU AGAIN!

[QUOTE="HotKillaz"]Great, thank you! But do you know any places where I can find that:

Gold 3.5mm Stereo Jack Coupler

Because I do not want to use my credit card on Maplin. (Link)

I've tried Google, eBay, no luck.moshakirby

I think I got mine from amazon.
Quite a lot pops up (that isn't Maplin) for "3.5mm coupler" unless you don't want to use a credit card at all in which case I can't see any major electronics stores (Dixons etc) selling couplers, though you can try asking as they may have something behind counter.

I found lots of couplers, but not gold plated. :o
