i thought you were doing a comparison between vice city stories and the original- for my assumed question-the first cant be beat, best GTA ever. and as for your question, i dont think it really matters... but the PC version looks best, then x box, then PS2. not really a great question as the game is old as hell and basically the graphics for all of the mentioned platforms sucked in 2002 (not sure when the xbox versoin came out). pick another that is newer and each platform has its own weaknesses and strengths.

p.s that rule pretty much applies to all games from that era (PC, xbox then PS2)

p.p.s i assume your talking about graphics

I dont think thats completely true, as there are still developers willing to take a gamble at being innovative, but like you say, the risk is definately increasing. With great risk comes great reward, which is why developers aren't all sticking to a set formula, though that is present in a lot of FPS's.kamikaze_pigmy

I guess bioshock is a good example of a gamble that payed off. but the fact remains that devs are becoming more reserved in how they spend thier funds by the year. bioshock is perhaps the one of the last in a dying breed is the point i'm making (not that you used bioshock as an example- just a good example for the case- it came to me quite obviously when you mentioned FPS's)

with the money that developers put into gaming these days they seem scared to stray from the formula- leaving slightly endeavourous devs behind-therefore further suppressing any more great games from emerging. anyone agree? if so, regarding which games?

totally depends on the game, but last saturday i woke up around 9:30 - started gaming and stopped (briefly) at 1:00 to get a drink and eat and then continued until 7:00. this kind of situation is getting rarer though as there arent many good new games to sink my teeth into this time of year and i've already played through them all at least 5 times and given the MP a decent whack. probably wont do that again until...RE5? also this method of gaming truly makes you realize how fast the day goes if you let it. my life is currently passing me by. kinda makes you think you'll be suddenly 45 with kids.....ramble... ramble
