Well I just got the Ultimate Edition yesterday. The campaign is a blast but naturally will come to an end eventually. The MP is fun, but you obviously would be better off with a good squad of people you know. Trick is, none of my friends have it, and the only would who would is "broke." So, I am considering Crysis 2, since it'll be a game I can manage alone seeing as how none of my friends can pull themselves away from Call of Duty. I haven't used my VIP codes so I can get rid of it easily. I am just curious what seasoned BC2 players think, given I can't really get hooked up with a good squad.

Enjoy being witty only over the Internet. I didn't ask for your lame attempts at humor at my expense. Thanks to those who made suggestions. You should try some vagisil......and if that doesn't get the sand out, take up reading or something.

I've tried to stay true to the Call of Duty series, but after MW, it went down the drain. MW2 was fun at first, but started to get very old, and the balance issues were unreal. I decided to try Black Ops after generally positive reviews. Just as bad. FFA spawns are terrible, constant lag (worse on PS3, i've played both versions), the unlock system is just ridiculous to me. "Hey, you unlocked this gun. Oh wait, you have to buy it too." People camp even harder than they did on MW2. I am getting really tired of all of it. I want a new MP experience, competitive is preferable but not totally necessary. I feel like BC2's vehicle inclusion is a turn off for me which is why I haven't played past the demo. I am pretty close to going back to single player only, but i'd rather give it a shot.
PS I play Reach, but Halo is best in doses for me.

I have a couple of questions I figured i'd throw in one thread. The first being about the life and durability of my PS3. I have a fat model, the 80gb MGS4 bundle one that is B/C. I've been watching Blu Ray's a bit lately (I've taken up the policy to buy them over DVD's even though I don't have an HD setup yet), and started using my GF's Netflix account as well. Basically it's going to run more than it has been, more than just games. It's considerable seeing as how I have a 360 as well so my gameplay was at least split. How has your PS3 fat been handling all the use? Is it built well enough to where I shouldn't have to worry about much? I used my PS2 fat when I got it to watch DVD's, and the thing only made it about 2 years or so.
The second question is, what's a good JRPG? I have never been a huge fan of them, but lately i've got the urge. I'm not a fan of ones using strategy elements/checker board mechanics. I'm looking for something that appeals to the shooter/action gamer in me, and I do enjoy free exploration ala Fallout but not things like "if you skip these random chests and open this one in this one cave, you get the mega buster smasher sword." It doesn't necessarily have to be PS3 as I have a 360 as well, and the older the better since it'll be cheaper.

I was going to say valkyria chronicals, but it seems you dislike strategy. Why don't you look up some youtube vids? type in valkyria chronicals ign review.
I had the demo, was really excited. Then I got the full game, and it was just overwhelming. It was ok until they threw in the squad mechanics and tactics and such, I just loved the art style and play style (it was strategy but presented itself in a better light).I have a couple of questions I figured i'd throw in one thread. I think Halo 2 was a bit faster paced maybe. I liked the weapons a lot more as well, plus the presentation as far as the plot goes was better.am i the only one who liked halo 2,halo 3 was so boring
