There are more negative gamers out there.

Uncharted is a high quality game with excellent production values, but at the same time, it represents everything I hate about modern gaming. Skyrim will be good eventually, once the mods fixes the flaws with the game.

I will be getting Skyrim after a year or so, but I wont touch Uncharted 3.

I said this before but sometimes I'd rather just kick back, relax, and play a brilliant 10-15 hour cinematic master piece like Uncharted 2 vs the fall outs and oblivions of the world. It's good to have that balance And have those options as a gamer And when its Naughty Dog making that game(uncharted 3) you know your in for a gameplay treat as well. I's the Naughty Dog magic lol like everything they touch turns into gold...seriously And they get what fun is and that what they make best. That's what they do. The bottom line is that Uncharted 2 was insanely fun and I'm sure part 3 will be even better in every way, because thats the type of developer they are in that they always strive to out do themselves and exceed expectations AGAIN and again Yeah, I'm sure Skyrim will be an amazing game, but I simply won't have the time for it, and as a gamer I love the option of Uncharted

Balance in games is good. However, I am not a fan of either Bethesda or Naughty Dog this generation and Uncharted series might just pass off as my least favorite gaming series of all time.

The problem I have with Uncharted is the whac-a-mole combat, weak platforming, cinematic gameplay, emphasis on set pieces, linear level design, derivative plot, regeneration, 2 weapon limits, and not to mention the multiplayer, going by the beta. Ugh.

I said Skyrim will be terrible, but I am sure it will be good once it is fixed by the modders, which was the case for both Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

Edit: To you and a lot of others, Uncharted is fun. But to me, it is the gaming equivilant of a sleeping pill.

Well, that's your opinion(how ever odd and strange it might be. It sounds like your that guy that likes to be a critic just because he can and that loves to play devils advocate)but I can offer my opinions as well And by the way before I continue what do you think about Gears, which is NOTHING but whack a mole gameplay except that Gears doesn't even have any seamblence of coherent story what so ever and its characters are walking cliches of roided out marines and alien locuts in a genetic and cliche all out war? can you say generic and played out to the max! Anyway,Ucharted 2 is one of the greatest games I've played in the past several years The story was good by video game standards. Not every story has to be super mind blowing unique. What's important is the execution and ND executed it and presented it well for video gamers to play and have the game being fun to play They added their own naughty dog flavor to the story and characters as well and that's what is important So who cares if the story is not an Oscar winning story or if the characters aren't the deepest moat complex characters know to man. (And by the way in video games I've hardly seen a story like Uncharted let alone any story executed and presented as well as Uncharteds) But what I loved was that the story tied perfectly into the epic set pieces and that there was interesting and insanely fun gameplay as a reault that matched. Everything tied together beautifully Story to set pieces to gameplay Its called integration at its best! And everything else from the graphics to the animation to the physics were stunning. Every single aspect of the game was top notch and polished It was an extremely polished product and at the end of the day an insanely FUN and memorable gameplay experience I forgot to mention and will quickly. The platforming had to be linear but its still responsive and fun to do and in the levels that were open you had more freedom to maneuver and climb But linear is not a bad word at all. It allows the developers to give you a certain experience and take you towards an end goal Moat of all im sick and tired of the SW myth that Uncharted is cut scene after cut scene and qte after qte When someone tries to make Uncharted out to be like that then that's how you know they have never even touched Uncharted before In Uncharted YOU ARE PLAYING what would other wise be a cut scene in another cinematic games cut scene Uncharted gives you tons of control..funny enough more then most games will ..and when there is a cut scene its such a fluid and seamless transition that you won't even notice. It's just that its linear, but that's so that Naughty dog can.take you along for one of the most epic rides of your life Bottom line. I might not like cinematic games or cinematic gameplay but I LOVE THE WAY NAUGHTY DOG DOES IT AND IS ABLE TO EXECUTES IT WITH THAT NAUGHTY DOG FLAVOR, POLISH, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND MEMORABLE AND LIKEABLE CHARACTERS AND AWESOME PACING AND GAMEPLAY AND I LOVE UNCHARTED and can't wait for November! I know many people in the real world that can't wait for Uncharted 3 and that were brought into.gaming by Uncharted 2's brilliance

obviously a PR stunt, but it's good that Sony seems to attempt to boost its public image with these little sort of things more than say for example Microsoft (or at least I hear about sony ones more)

If it were a PR stunt, more web sites would cover it. Regardles if it is though it was an awesome thing for Sony to do and I'm glad for the kid Sad that the kid got mugged by a pathetic excuse of a human. But Sony did a good thing, and the thought behind it and getting his system back will surely brighten up the kids day It's little things like this + the fact that Sony is really the only one of the big three that is catering to the core gamer + that they listen to its fans is the reason why Sony is the bomb! Lol in my eyes

Apples and Oranges, We are comparing a hiking sim to a cinematic whac-a-mole.

If the awful dragon fights, removed features, still no spears and the fact that it all around looks dumbed down from Oblivion are any indication. Skyrim will not even be worth touching until the mods come out and fix the game.

Uncharted 3's beta was terribad, and if the previous 2 games are anything to go by, I will hate Uncharted 3 as well. Assuming I would buy it that is, or even play it if I recieved it as a gift.

Sales-wise Skyrim will do better being on 3 platforms, Scores-wise I think Skyrim will do it as well, due to how much hype that has been recieving lately.

Honestly idk about anyone else but I am really not looking forward to Uncharted 3... it just looks like it is going to be the same thing as Uncharted 2.. Just stuff blowing up and you hit the X button and move around a little while everything happens around you. Seeing as how they are working on multiplayer for it as well I doubt they'll really bring anything new to the table in the singleplayer mode with that taking up a lot of their attention.

Skyrim looks incredible though.

Gears is much worse in this regard. Your going from one glorified arena to the next, ducking and shooting... and ducking and shooting, rinse and repeated 100 times over until you get carpel tunnel syndrome. The "story," if that's what you want to call epic's attempt at it, loosely ties the arenas together So if your looking forward to gears, then ouch But what I did love about Uncharted 2 was the awesome pacing and how extremely well the story did tie into the levels and set pieces and then into the gameplay. Everything blended together well and it was one beautiful seamless and flowing experience with a good story and likable characters I can't quite put my finger on it but it was a cinematic game that had that "it" factor that many many other cinematic games lack and that Uncharted's developers nailed to a tee Also, in Uncharted, contrary to SW myth, you do have control. You actually PLAY what would be other games' cut scenes I also love that its NOT ALL about third person shooting Ive seen all single player gameplay vids of Uncharted 3 and I'm blown away. I can't wait to get this game and play it! November honestly can't come soon enough! I want Uncharted now! Uncharted 3 is like only the game I care about And funny enough I share your same feelings but towards Skyrim and big open world games. Sometimes Id rather just just kick back relax and play a brilliant 10-15 hour cinematic master piece like Uncharted 2 vs the fall outs and oblivions

What I truly care about is optimization and performance What good is a "graphically demanding" game if it cant run properly, is full of glitches, and looks like ass in motion *cough console crysis*
