How so?[QUOTE="Master_Live"][QUOTE="HyperWarlock"]
Which is true.

Hot not so? If you're so scared of the goverment seeing what you get upto online then you must be breaking some kind of law.
This is a common misconception. People who dont have things to hide are still concerned about this, because of the precedence it sets. You are ok with it right now because you agree with the laws. But one should not just be content with getting their privacy violated because what if, God forbid, things change and some truly unfair laws are placed? Just think of the novel 1984. Could you imagine living like that. Sure 1984 is the absolute worst case scenario but I would hate to have cops bring me in and open a file on me simply because I said something to a friend of mine that they considered "Anti American". America is not at that stage yet, or even close to it, but if you let things like this slide by, it will slowly go in that direction and before you know it, you will be living in fear of getting arrested for thought crime. Its the slow changes over time and the slow removal of your rights that most people tend to ignore, but overtime, they realize how much they have given up.
Public schools are not pointless, just like church's arent pointless. yes, you can read all this stuff online on your own, but a teacher can help you to understand where u wouldnt. Same as a holy man can help explain concepts in the bible you may not fully understand.[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"][QUOTE="mahlasor"]
We already got a bible that you can read on your own, we got the internet, public schools are pointless.
edit: so what I am sayying is... Do we really need public schools teaching stuff that we can learn on our own?

Actually fvck both of them, I learned what I do not and did what I do now without them both. I did it myself!
I just feel like as much as I think i understand a topic, there is always someone out there who knows it better than me, and they can teach me to reach the same level of understanding. That's what schools are good for IMO. Too bad a lot of teachers arent exactly up to par:Facepalm: Sure teaching Science is Indoctrination, yet forcing kids to say the Pledge every day that includes the phrase "Under God" is not..... Conservatives :Shakes my head:[QUOTE="Nuck81"][QUOTE="mahlasor"]
Well global warming shouldnt be taught as fact when there is plenty of arguements against it. Same as Evolution, it really is not an science, it is more of an hypothesis.
