So there are lots of differnt quests ( cases or whatever you call it) each quest you only have 48 hours real time to complete ?daveversion1
Yea, you know how when you play a game...like COD4...you can see how much time collectively you have played it? It would be like that. You could easily fininsh the "quest" within 4 to 6 hours...but no case would be able to run past 48 or you lose that quest or"case" automatically. It becomes a cold case.
Therefor, if you have multiple cases going that you have been assigned to...you'd need to make sure to run your leads and collect and follow up on your evidence and what not so that you wont end up losing by default.
The SWAT4 portion would come into play after you had collected enough info to get a name of a suspect to pick up. Then it would switch from the RPG 3rd person investigative style to the FPS SWAT style approach to apprehend the suspect and bring them in for questioning. At that point it would switch to a different strategy styled prompt of dialog choices to use as questioning to narrow down either the actual person responsible for the crime or...get a full confession from the character you've brought in.
Maybe you could use photos taken from the forensic portion of the game to pull a confesion out...but maybe that would result in a shut down of the suspect and make it harder to complete the case.
During the evidence portion you could pull out an arsenal of tools. Call in dogs to sniff out cadavers or a murder weapon, use police officers to set a paremeter and gather simple witness reports that you can later reference, photographer, dna swabs, numbering shell casings, blood patterns....finger prints.
It would carry you all the way through from crime to conviction. Multiple cases...maybe in FPS apprehension portion you might have to kill a suspect due to them trying to assault you. Sh*t could get complex
The posibilites are endless. To me this would be a dope game.
