To be honest mate, if you want a good RPG now, your only really looking at something like Oblivion. Of course there is Eternal Sonata, but it just isn't as good as oblivion (well in my opinion) because Oblivion is simply a game you cant miss. However, the game is in first person, altough you are able to switch to 3rd person, the game works much better in first, meaning you might encounter a bit of deja vu from your shooting experinces

I have to say....mass effect is ace, the shooting aspect feels nothing like other 3rd person shooters like Gears, it's great fun and the conversation options are great, a very good game with an immersive story, I highly recommend it :D

Dam you ask a tough question! Hmmm, probably Gears 2 or GTAIV, maybe an (or is it a..doesn't sound right) rpg that will last.......

I might switch console entirely and get killzone 2 :) looks to be bes game ever! loved original and psp version great too.....why didn't i opt for the ps3 again....lol

Assassins Creed 2 for shaw >.< GoW2 needless to say, mirror edge if its on the 360, some obscure cutting edge amazing RPG^^ and some of the upcoming Tom Clancey games, splinter cell conviction and end war

Anyways, i completely agree with you, if SE were to remake this game i would snap it up. I missed the original game, its true that what I've heard makes it sound like the best RPG ever. tbh, if SE are gonna make so many add-ons then quit complaining about 'running it into the ground' etc. I would jump at the chance to get this game either on a portable console or on my 360, get out of your bubble SE and make FF7 again!
