Damn .. like we didnt see this one coming (Microsoft sure did ... Haha!)

I own both the PS3 and the 360, so therefore I am not biased to either console, but the omens do no look good for the 360. In a year when the games lineup for the PS3 look really hot, I cannot help but speculate the effect this will have on the Xbox fanbase.

We always knew Sony would step up to the plate, but with this current news, everything seems to be in their court now ... Do or Die? Irrespective of the general technical abilities of both consoles, the Xbox is in the shadows at the moment, with a new console planned - will it be possible to shake the rise of Sony's black box?

Nonetheless I have to agree with those who state that the Bluray vs HD battle will have a lasting effect on the console battle! Will Microsoft come to an arrangement to license Bluray tech in order to meet rising game disc data size? That will be the day! lol
