I'd like to know about an update myself. Weren't we supposed to get a fall update that added clan support? What happened to that? And no, not that lil update that came out just before Halo 3, all that did was add support for the dvd Scene It? game's remotes. There was supposed to be a full blown out update that had the clan stuff, support for streaming Divx/Xvid files, a new XBLA blade, IPTV support, a PIP setting, and improved slideshow effects.

Skimp on the story? Are we talking about the same game?

Each of the tree will have individual full fledged stories + one continous story trough the triology(this isn't Halo  ). Granted that the triology is made. Wich depends on sales if i remember DD's statements correctly.

I understand that there's supposed to be three full fledged stories, but I'm not getting the feeling that it's as massive as Dyack would like. I mean, and not to start a war here, but Mass Effect is HUGE. I get that. Why, because it's been platered everywhere. All the interviews/previews, game videos, and what other articles tell you and show you just how huge the game is.

The only thing you really see on Too Human is hear about how this game is not what everyone thinks. That's nice. I get it, this game is not Devil May Cry. This game is based on Norse methology with a twist. Got that. Tell me why it's supposed to be gigantic then. Why is it that they cannot fit the whole story on the first run. Are they fleshing out the whole story so much that they can't fit into one game?

I don't want to sound like I'm flaming the game, but for how passionate DD feels about this game, I don't think a lot of people feel the same way.

I don't think it's too early to talk about a trilogy when the Developer themselves are planning on this game being a trilogy from the beginning. In those regards, it makes you think how much of the story are they going to skimp on because they already want to do two more games after this one.

I think the game looks good enough to be made, I mean, I'm sure there are plenty of people who are going to buy this game at day one. Just like I'm sure that there are a lot of people sitting on the fence for this one. If anything, when the demo comes out on XBLM, a lot of people those people will make their decision off of that, so hopefully SK puts out one heck of a demo.

Just watched The 1UP Show, episode 107 (25:28 into the video) where they have a nice discussion about the game, video, and interview with Denis Dyack. While the game sounds fun, looks ok, and supposed to have that Diablo addictiveness (I'll hold final thoughts for when the game is actually released, or a demo is given), I can't help but wonder if this game is really Trilogy material. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm all down for more of a great game, if it turns out great. I know it's too early to tell, but from all the videos and previews, I just don't see too many people being interested in this game long enough to stick around for the whole trilogy. I'm thinking it may do better for Silicon Knights to make the extra games as DLC instead. Thoughts?

This game seems like a hit or miss. It's either going to be addictive as hell or boring as crap in a bag. As much as I want to believe that this game is going to rock (alright story line, tons of weapons/armor, diablo like gameplay with action game controls), I also know that this game has been stuck in development hell for a long time. And we know how mostly all these games end up. Hell, I remember hearing about Too Human coming out back on the PSX, I mean isn't that as long as Duke Nukem Forever has been around???

Also, after playing the CoD4 Beta, it's probably the most satisfying and rewarding FPS MP game I have ever played. It always feels like you're working toward a goal, or like you have your own objectives to achieve along with winning the battle. You get objectives like "Get 50 kills with the AK47 to unlock a scope for it", "Call in 25 Airstrikes for 200xp", or "Get 25 kills by shooting through walls to unlock this camo". Really cool and lots to do.

I'm getting all 3, so don't know what to tell ya. But if you're already getting Mass Effect, then you're going to have your single player fix for awhile, might as well get a MP game like CoD4 so you can switch it up. But don't pass up Assassins Creed all together, get it later.

... and it kinda funny that Metal Gear is now looking a lot like the PreviousSplinter-cell with the new camera and controls.

DepressedHippie

Exactly what I was thinking. I think the new Splinter Cell game looks cool, especially if you like the Bourne movies, but there is something in the back of my mind telling me that I'm going to miss good ole gameplay like Chaos Theory. Didn't care for Double Agent, and the regular X-Box version was way more fun than the 360 one.

Fun, but by far not the best. Would've been nice if game was longer and they added like 50 bonus puzzles to do.
