So I have read many reviews and comments on Civilization Revolution and am extremely disappointed in many of them. Those of you who think this version will be a dumb downed version of a Sid Meir's game will be sadly mistaken and regretting the fact that you did not go buy the game the first day it came out. I have been an huge fan of Sid Meir since colonization was released and he has yet to let me down. So when he says that all experienced hardcore civ players will not be disappointed then i trust him completely and those of you who are already bashing this game need to as well.

Lost Odyssey is a Final Fantasy wanna be to the 10th degree. The game lacks a good storyline which is critical for RPGs. Also the characters are extremely flawed from the Hero of the story Kaim, to the Villain Gongora. Since the game was made by the creator of the final fantasy series Hironobu Sakaguchi i had extremely high hopes for this game and was let down tremendously.

First lets start with the characters. For the most part they were all your typical rpg characters but there was one in particular that bugged me and that was the antagonist Gongora. This jar head wanna be looked like an overgrown version of an American marine on steroids. He also had the swagger of a character that would beat you in the head. That in itself is the funniest thing about him as a character because he is a freak-in SORCERER!!!! That made me start to not like the game from the beginning.

As far as the game-play is concerned this game offered absolutely nothing new. It was a turn based rpg that looked like it was made for PlayStation. It gave you a ring system where you had to hold the right trigger and put a ring inside a ring. Yes it added something new at the beginning of the game but after 5 hours of game-play and leveling up it became tedious and i would have to put the game down. Also the game's leveling system was horrible. After playing great rpg's like the Final Fantasy series and Kotor which always gave you new leveling up systems Lost Odyssey really dropped the ball. It was as if the people making the game had a deadline and were like quick how do they level up. Oh hey how about they don't get exp they learn from other characters. It was horrible to say the least.

I would never recommend this game to anyone. Not even the hardcore RPG gamers out there who still like the turn based system. It is by far not worth the 60 dollar price tag.Overall Lost Odyssey is a poor excuse for a bad Anime Movie.
