I used to play Guild Wars and still have Prophecies, but I tried it out over summer, and couldn't get any groups for missions or anything. Is it still like this?

I'm considering buying the Trilogy with free EOTN, but does anyone know of any guilds or would be willing to help me get going again, that will do the missions n' all?

Shame that I only have 3mbps, but hey, TF2 only took 6hours. Still quicker than having it delivered etc. And I guess it means you can't really lose the disk. And autopatches. And etc.

I can't decide whether to start buying my games through Steam, or buy a CDKey online and download a full rip.

I bought TF2 from Steam, and I'm loving it...but I don't really know that many people that use it and thus the community feature doesn't seem to be doing much for me.

It would be D2D, being the best of both worlds, except you need special patches.

What are the other advantages of Steam? What puts me off is always needing to be connected to play a game, as I'm getting a laptop tomorrow and I'd like to play when I don't have connection.
