That would be awesome and just what the series needs to stay fresh. Ace Combat 4 was amazing and one of my favorite games last gen but AC5 and the others weren't so great.

DMC 4 was set to be the big game for the PS3 this year. Since it's likely both FFXIII and MGS4 will be 08. So it was important.

Ninja Gaiden is a port of an Xbox game that came out years out. DMC4 is a PS3 game that has yet to come out. Last gen game that came out years ago and been played by anyone interested in it vs current gen game that hasn't come out and was one of the big exclusive for the PS3. Who got the better deal again?

You wouldn't have said Gears of War before it was released. Since it wasn't a proven franchise. I care more about games that are coming from proven developers than proven franchises. Mass Effect from Bioware for example.

DMC was never that type of game, MGS and FF are the ones that would be really bad for Sony.

It's not just DMC, it's the games library in general but with ever game that gets announced for 360 or multiplat that Sony looses it's going to maybe be the one that pushes people past the tipping point. For me it was Virtua Fighter 5 but I wouldn't have even considered the 360 if it didn't have games like Dead Rising, Gears of War, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, GTA4, Resident Evil 5, Eternal Sonata, Infinate Undiscovery, Mass Effect, DOA 4, Assassin's Creed and other games I find interesting. I'm not a huge fan of DMC so this isn't big new for me, it might be for some people but the bigger news for me was Ace Combat 6. I never thought I was see that series on the Xbox 360 and it has been one of my favorites the past two generations.

Why do you think that? I was a Playstation fan last gen who went 360. There could be a lot of people doing the same. People are loyal to games not console makers, see the fanbase decrease from the SNES to N64 for details.

The 360 has lots of proven AA and AAA games. Half the games on your list might not even score over 8.0 and in the case of many of them I think it's likely they won't.
