well i've been putting off blogging for a long time as it is... but yesterday an event occured whilst i was at my local game store.
i wanted to reserve a few games seeing as i have time before they come out and likely by then i'll need my money for more serious things like food and hygen supplies... winter can be a verydemanding time of year when it comes to money... christmas comes around, its cold outside so you want something to do INSIDE, and if you drive... make sure your vehical wants to do that when the season is approaching...
A friend said to me "why reserve games its not like it'll sell out" and it made me think of the many reasons i love reserving games more than just waiting for day one and forking out the 30-60 bucks... you get to pay off the game at whatever price you want untill you hit the 60 mark. have you noticed that reserving games also comes with more benefits? "RESERVE THIS GAME AND GET blank AS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER" is a common one "RESERVE THIS GAME AND GET A T-SHIRT" (but lets be honest most t shirts are awful..) also if you want the money sucking invention of collectors addition (which if your a fan you deffinatly tend to) you get extra goodies with your games. for instance mordern warfare 2. i have never been much a fan of call of duty i think the subject is over done and the games are overhyped at best but warfare 2 has something of interest to me in this dessolant land i call home where it gets darker than a turned off tv screen... NIGHTVISION GOGGLES as a joke when i saw this i said HELL YEAH IM GETTING THIS. but then because i heard of it and its interesting toy i looked into the game and saw it looked a step above the other games and decided the purchase should be made. so come november i'll be hiding in the woods decked out in snow gear with night vision goggles on and when that bores me i'll be playing MW2 on a couch. but i could only get that benefit if i RESERVE the game so i dont know why this is so interesting to me i feel like i should be biting my nails as paint dries seeing the rant im giving about such a simple thing. (i woulda gotten tekken 6's special edition but i already bought a Street fighter 4 fight stick.)
I guess i feel that people say whoever reserves games are desperate and nerdy but i think we're just more interested in paying a little bit at a time so we can have our money for other things when the time comes. right now i have 4 games on reserve and i feel i may add a few once i pay em all off but i dont feel like im a big nerd because when the release day comes someone is likely to get all 4 same games.... just not reserved and i dont feel like i am because they arent ALL collectors edition... only one is... for now.
anhow thats my rant and my first blog also IM FEELING GREAT i think your daily emotion has to be in every blog. just because it lets people know what your reason is for writing or messing up your words. im going to get back to that wall before the good parts over and i have to repaint it...
