No kidding. Ever worked in your life?
[QUOTE="Kounterfit"]and people wonder why kids are so spoiled these days. like, when i was younger, if i got something more than $50, i felt like i was spoiled. and now, this kid gets $800+ worth of games and the worst part is...he denys that he is spoiled. i would love to see that kid work and have to buy all that stuff himself. Ive never seen any kid think they were spoiled. And he's spoiled why? Because he got more than you? So to all the kids who only get $20 worth of stuff, youre a spoiled brat? As someone else mentioned in this thread already, spoiled is a attitude. If you appreciate everything youre given in your life and give credit to the people that make those things possible, you aren't spoiled. What makes a person spoiled is when they expect all this stuff as if they deserved it just for having a birthday.
No, 'spoiled' is not an attitude. We call that just being a jerk. Being spoiled is exactly this kid's situation.
You can get something like a 2000$ used car and not be spoiled (but that's still a nice present). That is something you can use, and you would probably like. If youre parents got you three 2000$ used cars, you would be spoiled (I have friends with 2 and 3 functional cars).
You are not spoiled if you get 2 maybe 3 video games for an occasion. You are if you get 8 or w/e this kid got. Hell, I got COD4, GH3 and 300$ cash for xmas+16th bday (my bday is 4 days after xmas) and I think I was spoiled.
Getting something worth a lot of money doesn't always prove you're spoiled, but getting a lot of the same present (video games are more or less in the same class of electronic object) does lead to being spoiled.
