Blu-Ray is super-fine. True 1080p HD picture with uncompressed dolby digital surround sound. It's hard to watch an upconverted dvd now (even that looks great though). I doubt I'll ever go to a movie theater again. Really, it has to be seen to be believed.

if you get a router, you can use your ps3 to view photos and movies, and listen to music that's stored on your comp's hard drive.

Stevo, take english 101 over again, I think you slept through the whole class.

Some Facts:

With Paramount dropping Blu-ray support, Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Bros. remains the only major studio releasing movies in both formats.

''Spider-Man 3'' will only be available in the Blu-ray DVD format when it is released by Sony Pictures, while people with Blu-ray players won't be able to enjoy the action-thriller ''The Bourne Ultimatum,'' which Universal Pictures will release only in HD DVD.

The Blu-ray format recently got a big boost as Blockbuster Inc. announced it would stock only Blu-ray titles when it expands its high-def DVD offerings this year.

Target Inc., the nation's second-largest retailer, said it will only sell Blu-ray DVD players in its stores in the fourth quarter.

Sony Corp.'s Sony Pictures, News Corp.'s Twentieth Century Fox, The Walt Disney Co., and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer are releasing only in Blu-ray.

Universal, owned by General Electric Co. backs HD DVD exclusively.

Total sales of discs in Sony's Blu-ray format totaled 1.6 million from January 1 through July 1, while HD DVD sales amounted to only 795,000. Movie rental company Blockbuster says Blu-ray rentals are much higher than HD DVD rentals, leading the company to choose Sony's format for the majority of its stores. PS3 games, PS2 games, viewing photographs stored on my comp, watching upscaled dvd's and blu ray movies, watching trailers, playing demos, will be setting it up to play music from my comp shortly. I'm really happy with the whole package. It's a lot of money to spend on "entertainment", but it really is a great value for all the goodies you get with it.

In order of best to worst, I would say that the 2007 games that I would most enjoy would be:

1. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men 2. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 5. Bioshock 6. Haze

For 2008 it would be:

1. GTA IV 2. The Agency 3. L.A. Noire 4. Final Fantasy 6. Heist 7. Lost

To me, Bioshock looks like a cross between Doom and Resident Evil. Both great games, and I'm sure that Bioshock will rock, but it's not the second coming of mario or anything like that. If I could port one game from the x-box to the ps3, it would probably be Shadowrun. I'm a big fan of the franchise, and would love to play it, but as it stands, I'll probably just wait until I have to upgrade to Vista, and get it on the pc. Perhaps The Agency will be able to compete with that particular game......

LOL, great tactics and great story!

I had to use Splinter Cell tactics to get my PS3 inside as well, but I was hiding it from people driving by my house. I didn't want to get home-invaded for my gear :?

I actually learned my Splinter Cell moves before the game ever came out. In high school Igot lots of practice sneaking my girlfriends into my room :P
