Holy crap this Microsoft console crapfest is hopefully over.  

A. Glad MS changed those god awful policies. 

B. I'll actually be getting one now.

C. I HATE fanboys SO FREAKIN much. 

D. Reading through the system wars forum (idk why i torture myself) is just awful.

8) ahh... summer.. Minimal school. Free time... no stress over tests.. no homework.. (well online classes are all hw aren't they?! :( ) ... and yeah you get the picture. Life is grand!

With summer comes the most wonderful time of the year!! (no not christmas... I'm athiest! :P)

So as a little birthday treat to myself I bought a windows 7 upgrade... as that prepares I will continue on down memory lane!

So the NES and SNES got me into gaming and made it my lifetime hobby.. The Sega had some influence as well but was my cousin's and not mine. Mortal Kombat and Sonic are definitely games that I remember fondly. Anyone else remember Primal Rage?! When you fought as dinosaurs! Epic....

ANYWAYS!

Moving onto what may be my most cherished system of all time.

The N64 baby!!!

Now this thing was amazing! Now come the days where I play games to beat them.. and not just for fun... Oh there was so much fun to be had!!

20 Years Old!

So I think I'll take a walk down memory lane and write myself what I call a "gaming biography".

Yep. There's where it all started for me. I never technically owned the console. It was my parents.. but I can distinctly remember a few games that I would play all the time on it.

Q-bert!!!

I have no idea how the game worked when I was about 3 or 4 years old... and I still don't now. All I remember is playing it a good bit.

Paper Boy!!!

This game I knew how to play and loved it. Yet, being 4 years old... I rarely made it passed level 1.

BattleToads!!

Do I remember the story? No. Was it fun? Absolutely!!

Last but not least.

No need for a bold name here. The beginnings of one of the biggest franchises of all time. Once again.. I really had no idea what I was doing!

Now then.. time to move on to my first console.

The Super Nintendo!

This game took up so much of my time. I unlocked everything! All the circuits.. all the tracks... everything. How fun it was.

Fun to be had!

This is only a small bit of what I had... My library was pretty extensive.

By this time I was hooked into gaming... there was no going back.

There are so many things to look forward to!

Just thought I'd start hyping myself for it.

Just a small early Feb. update. School is priority but gaming is always on my mind!

It seems even though I got a bunch of goodies for Christmas some games always pull you back in.

For the last few days I have been playing Killzone 2 as if I just got it this past holiday. The game is awesome.

Speaking of Awesome. I finished Uncharted 1 and 2 recently. They are stellar. Naughty Dog just keeps delivering. Let's hope that the third installment lives up to the hype.

GT5 is outstanding. I'll never even come close to completing that game.

Currently listening to: Killzone 2 Soundtrack. :)

PS--- Black Ops is so freaking addicting.

Well my 2011 is starting off just right. Over the holiday's I got my hands on Uncharted 2. Gran Turismo 5. CoD: Black Ops, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. My family now has a Kinect as well. Fun times to be had indeed. :D

I've had a blast playing CoD: Black Ops and am almost at prestige level 2. It is a def. a good staple in the CoD franchise.

For Kingdom Hearts fans. I cant recommend picking up Birth By Sleep for the PSP enough!! It is a great prequel to a great series. I can't compare it to 358/2 days. But I know it is amazing me so far as a PSP game. Both the combat and the story are excellent.

I haven't had much time to get into Gran Turismo 5. Half of that battle is going to be getting an HDTV that I can enjoy it more with. Uncharted 2 is going, slowly, but going, I'm just having too much fun with Black Ops at the moment.

With the holidays basically here I write out my wish list.

Kingdom Hearts: BBS - PSP Never had the chance to play it because of class. Few friends have said its an awesome addition to the series. All KH fans should look at this.

Gran Turismo 5 - The more I keep hearing about how much this game is NOT living up to its expectations..... the more skeptical I become. However I think I'm at the point of no return.. plus its my first true simulator.

Black Ops- Can't wait!

Uncharted 2- So I'm behind on the series.. so what?!?!

Demon's Souls - Everyone should play Game of The Year right?

Well thats it. And should keep me more than entertained for at least the first half of the year.

To put it bluntly, I was pretty much disappointed with E3 this year - No way to dodge around it. It was filled with gimmicks.. to say the least.

As a matter of fact. Nintendo, in my opinion, had the best conference.

Why? Because they showed off the most GAMES, and not just sequels.. they are actually remaking all the classics we know and love. Yes the 3DS was the wrap-up of their show.. but at least they showed off something new... I mean come on 3D with no glasses is a + .

Microsoft, Microsoft, Microsoft... what can I say... The eyetoy has been around for YEARS!! The technology seems to be about the same.. and if it sells as good as the eyetoy.. lets just say that wont be enough (aka it sold BAD)

Sony, Ok, wiimotion ++ actually looks pretty good.. but hey, its only an improvement of whats already been done... plus you basically only presented what looked like tech demos.. and nothing that really catered towards older gamers.. Take that sorcery and gladiator thing to the next level and make full scale rated M RPG's... then I might be convinced.

I did enjoy seeing the sequels to halo, gears, and killzone... but I was expecting to see much more new IP's. Similar to what Sony presented last year.. Modnation, Heavy Rain, MAG, etc.

MS needs to either scoop someone up or get their first party working on something good... because right now they are being carried by bungie it seems.

Nintendo surprised me this year because they are normally the ones that show off the gimmicks... instead they went back to good games and presented what looks like could be the next step in handheld gaming.
