InsanePoodle's forum posts
That's bad. The game is totally unacceptable, because it doesn't even play. If a game doesn't play, then its not a game. Yet during "On the Spot" they will say nothing negative about the game. It didn't even work for them and they wouldn't say it was unnacceptable.
Is this the new Gamespot? Buy advertising and don't get a negative about your game?
[QUOTE="Danthegamingman"][QUOTE="Bgrngod"][QUOTE="R-Dot-Yung"]I still think this sites integrity has been destroyedBgrngod
Why? Because everyone keeps screaming about it based on speculation?
If anything this has elivated their integrity. This place will be highly scrutinized for a long time because of this.
A smoking gun is not needed in a situation like this. Gamespots integrity is destroyed no matter what is the truth because just bringing their integrity into question is enough to destroy it, especially when Gamespot and CNET can not reveal the facts of the incident. The reviews are tainted and questionable from this point forward. Also, other sites like Penny Arcade, 1up, Destructoid, Kotaku will always be able to take swings at Gamespot and any editorials, reviews, or awards going forward. This has destroyed Gamespot as we knew it whether you want to believe it or not does not matter.....the industry now views Gamespot in a different and questionable light.
All of that is your view on Gamespot. Many people may share that view, since integrity is in the eye of the beholder, but many people disagree. Gamespot will recover just fine due to how many people that believe what Gamespot had to say with their podcast.
Surprise surprise. All of the other gaming sites went hog wild with this story. Any chance the little guys can get to take pot-shots at their #1 competitor are taken. I think the other sites showed WAY less integrity with this whole thing. They took any tidbit, conspiracy theory, and random forum post as "facts" and ran with them.
If you want to call out anyone's journalistic integrity, take a look at the other news sites first based solely on how they handled this news.
Welcome to America, where sometimes the free market wins out on integrity. It's the American way and I respect those news sites for exposing this.
There was a day in this country where news organizations were respected for exposing lies and corruption (Nixon, etc). If you want to continue on this downward trend of destroying our country by accepting what you are told, then fine. Please dont stop the rest of us from not taking this from anyone. Am I making a big deal about a gaming site? Maybe, but I do and talk just as passionately about how ignorance is fed to us by Fox News also. I dont like a lack of integrity in any medium I enjoy.
I cant decide between Coor's or Budweiser. Can someone from CNET please send me an email telling me which one.
Also, I cant decide what time to wake up tomorrow. CNET's input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
People, just leave the site forever. I'm leaving as soon as I get about one more week of this debacle, I dont even look at the front page.
Dont do a one day boycott. Leave this place.
[QUOTE="QuasidodoJr"][QUOTE="MoonSpoon"][QUOTE="wrlyy"]Also "Blackout Monday" won't make a noticable dent at all but go ahead, it will be nice.MoonSpoon
You just don't understand man!
They raid forums, change wiki's, put pics in their sigs/avatars, write classless emails, and don't plan on visiting a forum for 24 hours. Look at all the good work being done!
The funny thing is, they sure are getting a lot of attention. Including your's, 1up's, Destructiod's, etc. It may not be a noble fight, but there wasn't anything close to noble how Jeff was treated.Lol, yet, I still don't care.
It seems a lot of you are unaware that this happens all the time. Believe it or not, also outside of the internet. It's a business. Integrity? Haha, some of you don't even have that yourselves and you are here to defend the meaning of that word? I see it as a big joke. I laugh every time someone actually believes they are honestly making a difference.
You clearly dont care and you are making a difference.
Then you could as well boycot all gas from Saudi-Arabia, that country is much worse. Oh, but wait, the Saudi's are America's big buddies while Venezuela is a socialist counrty and you Americans are socialistfobic while you don't even know what socialisme is.mini-mario
Hey, there are Americans that are considerate enough to understand that not the entire world is a bunch of "blame the US, because me and my girlfriendare having problems", you could be considerate enough to understand we arent all stupid.

I know what socialism is, and I could care less if he has his little socialist paradise in Venezuala. I don't agree with his style of leadership, but thats his country and the people are responsible for giving him so much power. My problem with Chavez is he actively wants to damage our economy by cutting off oil supplies. Do you have any idea how bad that would hurt the world economy if the US went into a deep recession because energy prices spike to record levels over night?
Our dollar is in shambles. The rest of the world wants it, they are going gangbusters over it. Check out Russia, check out Brazil. People are currently profiting off of our losses. Trust me, the world welcomes this. We need a better PR department.
