#10 Tetris

Tetris was the first game i ever played as a child and from the moment i started playing i was hooked. very simple instructions and game play made me happy while intense strategy and planning gave me the challenge longed for. Tetris was everything you could ever want in a puzzle game and to this day remains the best puzzle game ever.

#9 Metroid Prime

Having been a long time fan of the metroid saga, i couldn't help but be excited at the prospect of playing as samus in a 3d environment, but still was slightly concerned the the series would go to crap. WOW was i ever wrong. Metroid Prime created in my opinion the greatest expansive world ever constructed in a video game and had Perfect controls and game play to go with. throw in a killer story and item collection set and the best FPS/adventure game is born. hats off the RETRO for producing a god among its genre. as well as two killer sequels. Great enemy bank never-got-old game play and a sweet set of bosses including one of the most brutal finishes in memory and Metroid Prime tops my list of the FPS genre.
