First, you apparently have never seen any Overwatch benchmarks, because folk with very old cpus such as 65nm Core2Duos and even decade old single-core 90nm Pentium 4s have been able to run this game with decent fps (far more than 30). In comparison, the Kabylake is probably 10x faster clock per clock. Overwatch was bottlenecked by Kabylake's laughably weak integrated GPU, not by the CPU.

Second, you must have missed the latest developments in CPU technology. Kabylake has better IPC than Skylake, which has better IPC than Haswell, which has better IPC than Ivy Bridge, which has better IPC than Sandy Bridge, which has better IPC than any of AMD's CPU lineup on the market, which in turn has far better IPC than any Pentium 4. And according to Techspot's CPU benchmark of overwatch, even AMD's low end Athlon X4s can run Overwatch at ULTRA quality at 1080p HD resolution with around SIXTY (60) fps.

Finally, Overwatch is so hardware UN-intensive that there are folks on youtube running Overwatch with decent fps with a DECADE OLD PENTIUM 4. That's right, a person with a Pentium 4 SINGLE CORE processor that came out OVER TEN YEARS AGO can run Overwatch with playable fps on good settings - and not only playable fps but far more fps than the measly 30 fps from the Kabylake integrated GPU. 30 fps at medium settings with a low resolution of 720p is not impressive - in fact, it is laughable. A weak and low powered Radeon R7 250 can get around 30 fps in Overwatch with ULTRA Quality running at HD 1080p. The R7 250 is roughly equal in power to a 9800GTX/GTS250 or ATI 4850 which came out ~9 years ago.

So Intel's integrated graphics is still much weaker than a mid range graphics card that came out almost a decade ago.

@wkadalie: I like COD/BF games too. But when I buy a game called Star Wars Battlefront, I expect it to be like the original SW Battlefront games. I am not expecting nor want it it to be a COD/Battlefield clone. That is false advertising.

@jcogopogo:I played the Beta and I'm glad I didn't preorder. This game is GARBAGE for a SW Battlefront game, because it's not a SW Battlefront game. It's a Call of Duty/Battlefield game with Star Wars animation. It doesn't have any of the elements that made the original two SW Battlefront games great.

The ending was bad. Bioware is simply fixing a mistake. There's no shame in improving a product.
