Although not very social, Peggle Deluxe is an excellent non-violent video game.

Total Annihilation. Excellent RTS. Once you get into the hang of RTS's, you should try CoH again.

I agree with other posters. Try Company of Heroes. An excellent RTS. Relic really did an outstanding job.

It took me a while to get the grip of it at first, but it was well worth it.

Diablo II is good but the quests are awful. "Kill X", "collect X". Very repetitive and unoriginal. A bit like WoW...

I hope Blizzard doesn't be like this when it comes down to crunch time (Diablo III). Also Oblivion was terrible, (at least without mods), and I've heard Fallout 3 is basically the same except with guns, if so I wouldn't touch that with a 40" pole. I will reserve my judgement until I've played it, however.

Parasite Eve 2 never gets old (even though it's on ps1). Seriously, this game is awesome and it will take you a while to finish.

Either BG2 or Fallout 2. Deus Ex was excellent but most builds were not viable enough.

Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition.

I was hoping it was going to be on par with Baldur's Gate II, but I was sorely let down. SORELY.
