My dad gave me $20 so I can buy a videogame(what videogame can be bought for $20?!), but instead I bought a book called Nightrise. I was waiting for this book for a long time(I read the first 2 books about a year or two ago).
It's the third book of the Gate Keeper series(in the UK, it is called the Power of Five series). The author is the same person who writes the Alex Rider series(Stormbreaker, Eagle Strike, Arc Angel, etc). It's a really good book, here are the synopsis of the first 2 books.
Raven's Gate- Raised in foster care, Matthew Freeman always knew he had strange powers. After he attempts to steal DVDs from a local warehouse, he is sent to Yorkshire as part of a rehabilitation program, named the LEAF Project, only to find himself in the midst of sinister happenings.
Evil Star- After his experiences in Raven's Gate, Matt thinks his days of battling evil are over. But soon he is pulled into another terrible adventure when he discovers a second gate exists. Matt and his friend Richard travel to Peru and, assisted by the Nexus, follow clues to the gate's whereabouts. But there is a traitor in the Nexus. Matt's friend Richard is kidnapped but Matt manages to escape with the help of a local Peruvian, Pedro, who is another "one of the five". The two can only communicate in their dreams, as Matt speaks English, and Pedro Spanish. The pair travel to the Nazca desert and Matt realizes the horrifying truth, that the second gate is about to open, again increasing the chance of The Old Ones returning. Once again, Matt must prevent it happening.
There are 5 Gatekeepers, but so far, you only know 4. They can communicate with each other(if they speak a different language, like Matt and Pedro) only through their dreams(which is like another world, where only the Gatekeepers can go and where they can sense the Old Ones).
It's a great series, and I think that you guys should check it out.
Now, here are some vids!
God Knows... (This would rock in Guitar Hero)
Cruel Angel Thesis (So would this)
Dragonball opening(This would too)
I havea big question. You guys know the rapper, NAS? Well, did he do a remix for the song on Bleach? You know, the song that starts playing when Ichigo starts to win(it called Number One). Here's a link to the song.
