Yeah, it's that time again. Every time this year comes the biggest gaming expo in the world, the E3(electronic Entertainment Expo). Last time, I wasn't a part of GS, so I didin't know that you could watch it live here. Now that I am, I put a reminder out for all of the systems. Here are some of the games I'm going to check out at the E3, thier trailers, what I think of them so far, and what I expect. This is the first part of it(10-6). I will post up part 2 next week. The trailers will be after my opinions of the game.
Here it goes.
10. Star Wars: the Force Unleashed
I've heard a little bit of this game, but most of it is still under wraps. The game looks very good, and being on the dark side at the start is new for a change. Some of the things I know are that you are the apprentice of Darth Vader. It takes between episode III and IV. You are also a secret from the Jedis and the siths too(which means Vader might have other plans for the Sith:D ), so you will have to be stealthy when on missions. I think the game will be very good, and the force powers will be its selling point. I also think that there will be a few confusing puzzles, but it won't take away from the game. I expect a medium bit from this game(which I will pick up when it comes out), mainly because of the force powers, but it will do well.
9. Halo 3
I'm not a big Halo fan, but this game seems interesting. I know the story of Halo(not in detail, but I know a medium bit), and this game has to close it up, which then the pressure's on Bungie to make it end this chapter good. The demo was very popular when it came out, so much that GS had a "breaking news" event when the demo came out. My friend was shoving that he had the demo in my face, but he forgot that I'm not into Halo that much. The graphics look great and the new weapons are really cool(especially the spike bomb and the barrier shield, which has good and bad effects). I think this game will be very good. It's already going to be sold out on launch(Gamestop said that this is the highest selling game, and it's not even out yet). The story looks good, the multiplayer will rock, and the graphics are great. This is(sorry for the Naruto analogy) like Sasuke Uchiha in the Chunin Exams. Everybody came just to see Sasuke fight and that if he doesn't fight, the Kazekage will declare war on Konoha(which happened anyways). Everybody that's going to E3 mainly cameto write anarticle forthis game.
8. Fable 2
The first Fable was alright(I didn't really like it that much), but Molymeux says that he's fixed the mistakes of the first game and won't be repeated in Fable 2. I think moving the story 500 years after the first game is a good approach, since you can have more variety of c.l.a.s.s.e.s(and you get to go in deph into them too). Having a family is an interesting move, but I don't think it will get many good feedbacks. Having a co-op is very interesting move, and I wonder how will the leveling will work out. I expect a medium bit from this game, but I think it will deliver more than expected.
7. Bioshock
Now this game looks great. You are sent to a place called the Rapture, a society of geniuses, which then, something went wrong. You have to survive using the enviroment surround you. You have to also customize your weapon to help you at that moment. The water graphics look spectacular and the monsters inhabiting the Rapture are very detailed and have their own personality. You will have to make some major decisions that are sometimes morally wrong. This is another game that like Halo, people will flock to this game and will write a lot about it. I can't wait for this game:D
6. Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Let's see, a post-apoclolypic time, a guy who can control swords with telekinesis, and a battle system similar to Kingdom Hearts? You know this game will rock(S_Jake, I know what you're going to tell me about this game and Kingdom Hearts, so don't hold this against me, ok?:P )! The boy is suppose to be protecting a crystal(I think) and is the new ruler of a forgotten and destroyed kingdom. He also has nothing to lose too? We just might have another Kratos(GOW) on our hands:D I expect a lot from this game, while not as popular as its counter-part, Final Fantasy XIII, this game looks very interesting and I really want to see how using the swords in a telekinesis way will work out.
The games I'm going to check out #1-5 will be up next week with thier trailers also. I really can't wait for the E3, and I wish I was there(but $2,000 for a ticket is way out of my range).
Tell me what you think of my list and opinions on these games.
