WARNING: Angry religion-related babbling.

First of all, nothing against religion. Just gettin that out of the way.

There is this really, really, really religious girl who just started work here at the office. She's a (slightly) cool person all around, and I have no problems with her whatsoever. A couple of weeks ago, we got on the subject of tattoos somehow, and of course, she had to go on a ten minute TIRADE on how much she dislikes tattoos, would never get one, doesn't like people who have them, blah blah blah. God didn't give us our bodies so we could destroy them with ink and piercings. That's how my fanatically religious family views them as well.

That's not what's bothering me, though. I'm fine with people being against tattoos; I mean, why wouldn't I? I'm as open-minded as they come. What's bothering me is this: guess who came into work this morning with a new tattoo? ...It's probably not hard to guess.

WTF?! Granted, the tattoo is a small one, it's on the back of her neck, AND it's of that weird little Jesus fish thing that I see on the backs of cars at least 30 times a day. But it's still a tattoo.

I guess God is okay with you defacing your body, as long as you are defacing it with God-stuff, right?

Right?
