Screw this S*** F*** GameSpot, and F*** cNet.com.

I rarely speak, and i doubt anyone will find this (cus i never used the forums here) so i'll make this quick.

As with most os ther people i have seen on GameSpot in the response to their take on why Gerstmann was FIRED (he didnt leave), i feel one of two things happened here:

1. Gerstmann was fired because Eidos cut their marketing deal off due to his mediocre (i wouldnt call it scathing cause i partially agree with parts of it) review of Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. The marketing deal dew in quite a bit of money for GameSpot and of course, cNet.com, the owners of the site.

2. I... actually don't have a 2.

"I'll post up my comment to the news:

Account cancelled, **** you GameSpot. We're not blind nor stupid, there are other websites not owned by your sham company (Cnet.com) where we can get our game info from, thank you very much.

Personally, i don't know if you crumbled under pressure from Eidos because Jeff gave their game a bad review, but my guess is that because Jeff's review may have caused Eidos to cancel the marketing deal with you, you fired him for losing you a chunky amount of finance. In the end you're gutless for sucking up because your meant to be unbiased and fair in your review. But you have made it clear to the gaming community that you had other plans.

I have lost all the trust iever put in this place, and you can ban me, email me about how wrong (or right) im, you can ban my ip, it dont matter, cause i just dont care anymore."

To be honest, the only question buzzing in my mind is:

Who struck Gerstmann and set his path?

GameSpot?

Or cNet?

Not being the sharpest knife in the draw, i wouldnt know which to blame. My guess would be whoever got the most money out of it, so probably GameSpot, but cNet owns this website, so theyd probably get a healthy (if not the largest) chunk out of it.

In the end, both are to blame for not standing up for themselves and instead throwing Gerstmann in the line of fire.

This will be my first, and last, blog entry on this site.

Goodbye to all who wish to continue using this site.

But to GameSpot and cNet, i say 'F*** you, but have a nice day!'
