I think that they should have a convention for average people to preview games. kind of like the old e3, but for the people arent in the games industry. the new e3 is good for people that need to have some sanity so they can do thier jobs.
the ps3 is a machine for the type of people who like to have things like high end audio systems and plasma tvs and nice high tech camera phones. most of the core consumers however, arent into all of that, they just want the games, and that isnt necessarily a bad thing. I have a hard time seeing people being open minded enough to see it as anything other than a game machine. The same already goes for the psp. I own a PSP, and I love all of the features it has, and play the games maybe 20% of the time on it, mostly using it for music, movies and showing digital photos in excellent high res clarity and sometimes for internet browsing in wifi hotspots. other people see it as a glorified gameboy. I am the kind of person that would use the PS3 for all of its great features because I like high tech useful all in one gadgets. I hope other people see the PS3's value as well.
