I just bought over the holiday season "Lost Planet" and " Need 4 Speed Undercover" and I spent a total of about 4 hrs with both. Well I am playing both on low settings which kills some of the fun (especially if your going to settings every five minutes), I wait it out until I upgrade my rig. It really changes the gaming experience, I've played through Half-Life a number of times, each time with a better rig(that's one really cool thing about playing on PC, I'll elaborate later). Ooo, in an earlier blog entry I was mentioning a comparison between Neo-Geo and emulation, well it's confirmed the "original' is better. I did an comparison between Mortal Kombat on PC (Midway Arcade Treasures) and the same game on Sega Saturn. And the Saturn version comes out on top, when playing on PC I found there to be a little lag (it's probably like 1000's of a second) ,although, "as a spectator you wouldn't notice". On the other hand, other than load times there was no hesitation. I just bought the Gameboy player for the Gamecube, I highly recommend it, it plays ever game even the old school 1st generation carts (which I was afraid of it not playing).
