@gr4h4m833zy: I am of the same opinion as you to be honest. I would prefer to see something fresh and original... but I guess all they're really interested in is how to make the most money with the least amount of effort...
And... if they are going to remake a Splinter Cell game, why the original? Granted, it was pretty good, but why not remake properly Chaos Theory (one of the best games in the series)?
Or maybe they plan to remake them all, one at a time, and charge for them at a premium...
@VooDooPC: As you said, Superman is basically invincible, and I agree with that, but he's not completely invincible. He died during his fight with Doomsday, he can die from Kryptonite, he is vulnerable to magic, and without the yellow sun he will lose his powers and be vulnerable also...
But, if we use that logic about invincibility, we can say the same thing about Wonder Woman.
IMO (you can disagree), a game isn't good just because the main character may or may not be able to die. The best games out there are the ones that demonstrate outside-of-the-box thinking in regards to traditional game design.
As bad as a game it was, Superman Returns had an interesting concept in that regard... failure doesn't come from Superman dying, but by his inability to protect Metropolis or its people.
I remember Vault of Glass on the first Destiny with not only fond memories but also a lot of frustrating ones... it must have taken me a few months just to get a pair of boots to drop from the raid to complete my armor set.
I remember being part of raid groups sniping Oracles with Ice Breakers from the overlook opposite the first arena (we had to stand on certain spots so we could see the Oracles just right so we could snipe them), and there was a glitch where Warlocks could push Atheon over the edge of the map making the last battle much less of a slog with the weapons we had at the time.
It would be a great surprise (for me at least) if we would be able to customize the visual design of our ships by swapping parts like the engine, wings, etc., to create some really unique and interesting variations that we can show off to others in social spaces.
The picture on the article brought back memories... it was my favorite weapon on the first Destiny. Unfortunately I only got the drop after it was nerfed; I would have liked to experience it in all its glory.
I wonder how large the game downloads will be... 100GB per game? 150GB? So if we get a 512GB SSD it would fit at most 3 or 4 games? Or will the PS5 be released when larger SSD capacities are a lot cheaper in a year or two?

As long as they stick to that sage advice I think it should be fine. Nevertheless, I think I'll wait to watch it on DVD so I can play/pause anytime I need a bio break.
