I am looking into upgrading my graphics card and I am totally confused. I am currently using an nvidia 8500 GT card with 3GB of ram and an AMD 9500 Quad core processor. I am playing Crysis on low setting so I started to look online to see how much it would cost me to go to high settings.
After doing some research (and talking to people) I decided that a 8800 GT would be the cheapest way to get decent results. I started to look online to get a card and found out that there are many different versions of the geForce 8800 GT graphics card (ranging in price from $130-$300). I was expecting to pay around $200, but how do I know that I am getting the right version? And how is it that so many different companies are selling the same card?
Needless to say I am confused, I have never upgraded a PC (been a counsel gamer my whole life), and for some reason I thought that there was only one 8800GT card.
So which one should I get? Any help would be very appreciated.
I just found out that the old time crisis games do run on the PS3... but what about getting a light gun to work on a PS3 and HDTV? What light gun would you use (if any work)? I have an HDTV so I know I would have to have a special gun (Like This one: click here). Would this work on a PS3 on an HDTV with a time crisis game with a PS2/PS3 controller converter?
I know this sounds confusing... If you need more explanation on what I am trying to do just let me know. Thanks!
That game is an abomination DONT EVEN LOOK AT IT! Just look at my review. avataraang1
Well I guess I will just save my money then... Mabey I should just go buy an old tube TV so I can play my old light gun games... Such a shame that Time Crisis 4 is the only true light gun game you can play on an LCD HDTV (the Wii games dont count in my opinion since you dont actually aim at the enemys... you have to use a cursor on the screen instead. aka they suck).
The only thing that can save light gun shooters is the Wii now.acidBURN1942
Well then I guess they are dead... I cannot stand light gun shooters on the Wii (and yes I have some). The aiming is not accurate and you have to look at a cursor on the screen to aim instead of actually aiming at an enemy like you would naturally want to... LAME!
