Spurs vs. Lakers -- Game 1

Wow, just wow. Lakers started out okay in the beginning but we could not stop the Spurs in the second quarter. Kobe was not taking his shots and passed to his teammates, trusting them but when you can't stop the Spurs and your teammates cannot score, you need to take shots and he needs to be the superstar that he is. The Lakers were down by 20. The third quarter starts and 5 to 6 minutes into it, looks like the Spurs were gunna run away with this one, we stopped them a bit but we still could not score and Kobe still wasn't taking his shots but then Kobe erupted. No one could stop him after the 5-6 minutes in the 3rd, nailing almost every jumpshot he took and throwing amazing alley-oops to Pau and the Spurs were in a offensive drought. In the 4th, the Spurs started to hit some shots, specifically Duncan with his jumpers off the glass but Kobe was still hot. Kobe scored the go-ahead, 10-foot jumper in the lane with 23.9 seconds remaining and it was all over.

Reds vs. Dodgers -- 5/19/08

The Dodgers deserved to lose this game but the Reds just gave the game to us. The Reds made a ton of errors and the Dodgers took advantage of them by scoring. Brad Penny showed usa lot of good stuff tonight but he is just so inconsistent. When Beimel came in he did very good, held down the fort by striking out some players and throwing some nice pitches but the star of the night was DeWitt. Nothing seems to phase him, playing Double A ball last year (I think) and now is playing in the MLB, he has a very bright future. He is now 6 for 6 when the bases are loaded, very clutch (I think again). The Dodgers are only 5 1/2 games back from the Diamondbacks, were gunna catch 'em for sure. :)

NBA Playoffs

Anyone here who is the slightest bball fan knows that the NBA playoffs are going on. I am a big bball fan and an even bigger Laker fan, ever since I was a baby. Watched all of their games this season and so far have watched all of their playoff games. Lakers get either the Spurs or Hornets, we'll see after the game is over on Monday. I think the Spurs will beat the Hornets tomorrow, we have to find a way to contain Timmy. Kobe can handle Manu, for the most part D-Fish can handle Parker but I worry about Farmar defending him. Farmar could not contain Deron Williams at all. If we face the Hornets, LO can handle West with his length, again I worry about Farmar defending CP3. I also worry about Pau being physical with Tyson Chandler, he is a European and finesse player, he doesn't really bang well. Pargo must not be allowed to get hot, he is a very streaky shooter. If we face the Spurs, I say the Lakers win it 4-2 and if we face the Hornets, I say we beat them in 5.
