Where is the co-operative gameplay for console based RPG's?

Now I don't know about you guys, but I love playingonline. Of course there are some negatives to playing online, like having mouthy little kids tell you what a f**king douchebag you are just because Mommy and Daddy aren't home, and the occasional lag and networking issues. Aside from that, I don't know where'd I'd be without it. I use it to talk to my friends who live hours away from me, and other stuff like that. But I primarily use it for gaming of course.

Usually when you think online gaming, you immediatley think shooters. You got the big guns out therelike Call of Duty, Killzone, and Halo. They are great fun and I play them constantly, but there definite flaws on them. Like having your teamates kill you, or having them shoot your shields down so when you get shot from the other team, you die. Also the fact of griefing. When they stand in front of you and you can't shoot without killing them, so you look like the ass. It's a shame that there isn't some sort of penalty system for this, like having a certain strikesystem where a player receives a certain amount ofstrikes, and then they get banned or something. But that won't work either because then people will just complain about players when they get schooled by them.

Racing games. I love them to death. But I hate the online. How many times in GRID was I taken out by people driving backwards? Or someone deliberatley hitting me and causing me the race? Sometimes I just want to jump through the screen and strangle the person who does it. Especially on Forza when I'm 2 hours into a race and some douche takes me out.

But where are the co-operative RPG's? No ones made one yet? Aside from Demon's Souls and FF11? Well...WTF!?!? Doing some awesome quests and getting epic loot with your friends? Don't mind me for saying, but I think this should be investigated. You don't have to worry about frustrating noobs who try to steal your thunder. You're playing with a closed group of your friends, doing things you want to do, and not having arguements and name calling from other annoying outside sources. It's a great market to get into, with or without monthly subscriptions. The community would be great, considering you're playing with people you want to play with. I don't know about you guys, but in this day and age in gaming, I think it's about time for consoles to up the ante when it comes to their RPG's. There are rumors about Elder Scrolls 5 possibly being co-operative, but nothing is certain. Let's go developers, time to jump on the ball and get that sucker rolling, because that ball, will roll for a long, long time.
