@watchmenotreact: the challenge is the point. Living beings in our world literally evolved and define their species through a struggle, not the lack of it or for some hope of reward. It's instinctive.
I don't see how this is going to make devs happier if they're still going to need to make two slightly different versions of each game (one optimized for reg PS5 & the other unleashed by the Pro), for the next two to four years or longer.
I had a second point about that but I forgot. Lol.
Just FYI, those 850 remaining staff are dedicated to D2 and Marathon, but there's about 1075 staff leftover altogether (with 155 shifted to internal positions within the larger SIE structure; leaving 920 directly w/ Bungie).
The math didn't check out so I had to re-read carefully.
Can we get these titles every two years minimum? I know we had an extra-long break after Valhalla, and Mirage was a smaller title, but still. Let's not get back into the annual cadence they have had before.
Just FYI, season 2 will only cover half of part 2, roughly. They said a year ago that it'll take two seasons to do part 2 properly.
Part 2 is also twice as long as Part 1 game for a strong reason that I won't spoil here. But it's essentially two campaigns. (I myself take twice as long to finish campaigns as everyone else -- potentially four times as long if there's a photo mode -- and ironically I lose most of my screenshots or don't post them lol).
It's alarming to also point out that TLOU 2 is four years old (49 months), which is well over half the age TLOU 1 was (~7 years) when it came out. Ick, too much time flies by.
