I loved 2142 and I hope to see a newer version after they roll out Battlefield 3. 2142 is a game I may play until the last server is brought down.
Playing sniper is noob because what do snipers do? They play hide and seek like little girls and take cheap shots while the real players go at it. The biggest threat to snipers is trying to keep sand out of their vaginas.
