Bored

Just come to the realisation that there are no more avatars or signatures on Gamespot..wow. I prefer it this way, actually. Nobody seems more important than another because of a pretty coloured banner. Yay, equality!

Twilight Princess is looking hotter by the minute. It'll just be a recollection of all the previous games, I don't mind the re-usage of ideas (for example, the wolf thing, not so original), just as long as the game mechanics are brilliant as always, the story is superb (this will be a more depressing plot, I'm told), and the graphics are stunning. Check, check, and check! Possibly the game I'll finally buy a gamecube for, or maybe a revolution, I can't be sure yet. Nintendo's new console hasn't entirely impressed me yet; it's more of a 'last hope' thing that people are clinging to and praising to high heaven to rescue this pit of gaming boredom. Gaming isn't THAT bad as it is...will it be so much better when you're waving a controller around?

Saying this, I'm still in support of Nintendo. Spent my remaining change on the retro Diddy Kong racing classic several weeks ago. The 'kiddy' styling doesn't put me off one bit - if only people could have more respect for these games instead of being so immature with their choices..

Well I'll shut it now, I've ranted on long enough XD

Oh and btw comments are much appreciated, and I'm going around randomly tracking various people..only hunting for friends, sorry.

First Post!

Hooray!

I think I'll keep gaming related things in this blog. It's hard enough dealing with so many user accounts on the internet, so I'll leave out simply copying sections from my main blog onto here and boring you with the same information. (in fact, I'm boring you just talking about this subject, moving on..)

I discovered something quite amazing today, although it's something I should have realised many years ago. My heart doesn't rest with my Nintendo, or my still ongoing N64. Not even the trusty Commodore, our first ever computer. In fact, it's the PC I remember spending most of my days on. I have vivid memories of watching my dad on Doom, Half Life, Quake, Hexen and Blood (no wonder I'm so demented today, all that violence when I was only 5 years old). Even the classic adventure games, Beneath a Steel Sky and Discworld, the very original, which we still to this day can never complete.

Of course I wasn't able to play those games; they were all too mature. (although I could watch them, so I was still absorbing all the maturity into my mind). However, for some reason I could still play Road Rash. Ahh..that game is a pure classic, truly underrated. Possibly the most fun I've had with a game, ever. Lemmings, Elite 2, Civilisation (both the original and Civilisation II), X-Com, C&C including Red Alert - that's where my memories lie.

Jazz Jackrabbit! Ah that game is brilliance, what a brilliant platformer.

Well, if you're a fan also of any of those retro games, feel free to be my friend. I'm always on msn, really.

I promise my next post will be a huge lot more interesting than this one!!!
