I purchased my first and only Xbox 360 on launch night almost 3 years ago (11/22/05). Last night I tried to turn it on but got the single red light w/ "E 74" message. I tried every suggestion to fix it except removing my HD but I think its better to get it repaired while my warranty is still effective. This will, hopefully, negate future problems. Besides, its tax season and I'm an accountant so I may only get 1-2 hours of play in a week.

Just wanted to post my success with my LAUNCH system. Its all in how you treat your games.

Most people like FPS because of the pace, competition, and gore. Anyone who plays games more than on an occassional basis is a gamer. I'm 22 andhave been playing games since Atari VCS, ColecoVision, and NES. I consider myself a gamer because I enjoy EVERY genre of games there is. I've played through the FFs, Halos, MGSs, Maddens, Tony Hawks, etc... Everyone would call me a gamer because of my knowledge of videogames while growin up. So I guess it depends on what you feel makes you a gamer. Personally, I don't really care for rank and online competition (because of the new age of gamers who only care about wins and rank)but I love sports games. Ay, if you believe you're a gamer then who's to tell you that you're not?

Besides, when you get a REAL life, you'll realize that there are MUCH more important things than games, like bills.

I usually don't give games second chances...although I gave Morrowind a second chance. I still can't get into it, though.Trickshot771

Same here.

I'm on my first 360 that I gotmidnight onlaunch night at a Walmart in DE (no taxes :)). It has frozen a couple times but no RRoD. If we are lucky enough to still have our launch systems, does our warranty cover it now after 3 years? Cause it would suck to crap out now and have to pay for repairs (and HDMI).

Edit: And I play my systemheavily for hours at a time.
