So you say I can buy European cables and power bricks

And I heard that PC cables can be used in Xbox power bricks to. Any Idea?

I just bought an Xbox 360 Elite Jasper from US but i live in Europe i used a stepdown converter. i plugged it in and after like a minute the power brick blew and got burned.

So can i buy a European Power brick?

or American Power Brick again and a better stepdown converter? If i buy which stepdown converter should i buy?

Mine is Jasper and I heard they consume less energy now. If it depends answer for the Jasper and if it doesn't tell me what should i do.

Just bought a new xbox 360 elite jasper from US but I live in Turkey and we use European plugs so i used something like step down converter(or international electricity converter) but after like turning it on for 1 minute the power brick got fried and it's unuseable now. So does anybody know:

If i can use European power bricks,

or if i can't which electricity converter should i use?

please people if you have experienced it(The European power brick thing on a US console), then answer my questions. Because some people from the older forums won't stop saying things like "no it will break your console" but some say "worked perfectly fine" but i just want to be sure.
