As long as Hudson and the writers of ME3 are still on the project, using the words "fresh and new" scares the &*%^(% out of me considering how "fresh and new" there ending ideas were to ME3. Yeah, that ended well on the PR front.

Adding the collectors is a good thing, but it only complicates the single player story and muddies the plot/endings even further. Perhaps their return in the SP is down the road.

NOW I will finally get to play. I was not about to pay for something that should have been KOTOR3, not an MMO.

I don't expect any "playable" sequences in the EC. What I DO expect are A LOT more sequences that occur before and after the ending to help clarify what is going on AND what becomes of my crew and the impact of my decisions. I do not expect the moon, but I DO expect a lot of questions and logical gaps to be addressed and explained. Strangely, I expect as many questions to be answered as there will be new questions that need answering.

"thematically quite different?" I would beg to differ. The were all the same with the same outcome. Changing colors does not change the "theme". In addition, the idea that other choices early in the game and previous games lead to different conclusions is also false. All those choices did was provide various alternate scenes leading up to "the choice". If that is enough to qualify as "quite different", then I don't know what to say, because the endings are ALL the same. You DIE! Maybe that's it. It's HOW you die. That must be the "difference" these journalists and defenders are hanging their hat on. That's not enough evidence for me. Bioware lied, accept it gaming media journalists and let the healing begin.

If developers were so concerned about artistic integrity, they shouldn't patch their games. After all, doesn't that indicate they have changed their "art" based on negative audience feedback?

"free to challenge their audiences" Yes. What our dear editor is forgetting that to challenge an audience, you can not disrespect them by providing completely illogical writing and story telling elements and expect said audience not to notice or at the very lest, be curious enough to ask why? What Bioware did was to ignore ALL story elements that preceded the final moments for what? It would be the same as ripping out the last chapter of Lord of the Rings and gluing on the last chapter of Return of the Jedi. Both have good things about them, but they do not get along storywise. When will fanboy editors get over themselves and admit Bioware screwed up.

Calling a game that sales 1.3 million a failure is premature. ANY game that sells over 1 million copies is doing real well. The problem is either 38 lied (greatly over estimated) about how many copies they would sell OR they used most of the loan money to fund their MMO project they were working on in the background (likely, as this goes on in the industry). What most of these developers are missing is that MMO's are a real pain to develop and maintain. Everyone sees the money they can bring in with an MMO but overlook the work, energy and money required to make it happen.

RRRIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT! The ole "I wasn't serious" retraction. Typical PR crap when people say what they feel and find it is extremely unpopular with their fans/customers.

If there is no PS3 compatibility, I will not be getting a PS4 until PS3 games are no longer made. I only have so much room in my living room for gaming equipment (especially if each new console requires its own peripherals (i.e. rock band)). Also, not supporting used games or allowing games to be traded is a serious insult to consumers. IF console makers keep doing things like this and PC developers keep adding more restrictive DRM's, gaming in the traditional sense WILL die off and people will start playing on iphones and ipads only (especially since they are A LOT cheaper). Very bad/greedy move by Microsoft and Sony.
