Next game I will get will be an older game that is cheaper... but I'm torn between a few. I like action and shooting games, but want to branch out into other genres. On the other hand, I don't want to get a game that has little resale value that I don't like. I'm also a big fan of co-op and competitive multiplayer in any genre.

I like to have lots of options so I can get lots of info from more experienced people and so I can feel free to change my mind at any time.

(bigger font size= more inclined to buy)

#1 Fable II

I haven't heard much about it, but from what I have looked at over the past 2 or 3 days, It looks like a good game with a lackluster co-op mode, but nonetheless a good game.

#2 Gears of War (1)

I have heard mixed reviews about the online, everything from lag to saying that it feels like a multiplayer in alpha state. ...But many people also say that Gears of War 1 is better than 2 and I like hearing that.

#3 Mass Effect (1)

Action/RPG. Which one? It is an epic game with tons of back story and such, but after I finish it I don't see any reason to play it again. I have KotOR II and loved it, but never played through it again because I never felt like I needed to after the first time.

#4 Red Faction Guerilla

Dont't really care about this one, but unless someone says it is REALLY REALLY good, I probably won't get it.

#5 BioShock 1

I know almost nothing about BioShock because I haven't played any of them. I haven't heard any bad things about it, but I just don't know if it is my kind of game. Also, I can't see why I would play through it a second time.

#6 GTA San Andreas

(just for laughs) I like open world game and put this on the list because I can see myself having a lot of fun in an outdated open world sandbox game. I had it on PC for a while but never played through the story and didn't ever explore the city. If I got it on Xbox, I would hands down play through the game 'properly' and It looks pretty fun to me.

#7 Battlefield 1943

BestXBLA First Person Shooter! I LOVE BATTLEFIELD so I don't see why I wouldn't like this. However, there is probably something better ^^ up there ^^.

well all of these games are fabulous but, there are some choices to be made here, forget about fable 2 if you just want it for co op its co op mode is extremely limited. Gears of War, yes its a good game with a good story but its really just your everyday shooter. Ahhh mass effect, now this is one to think about, at first it may look like an everyday shooter but goes in depth, with rpg elements, its safe to say this game wont dissapoint. on to red faction, i my self did not like this game, i thought it was sluggish and the surface of mars really doesnt do much for me in giving a different scene. If there was one game on here that i would buy it would be bioshock, amazing story great gaphics and nice controls, you cant go wrong with it. Lol san andreas, obiviously this is a great game, even if it is a little old. honestly i love battlefield 1943, and i play it all the time, it truly is addicting, plus im always looking for someone else to play with. in conclusion, you really cant go wrong with most of these choices, but if i where you i would be buying either bioshock or battlefield. hope this helps.

if you want an rpg that stays away from the spiky haired protaginist ( and any other traditional jrpg roles) then lost odyssey is a game to look into. its a little different but very good.
