JesusFreak1990 Blog

The Vita, I can't buy one, because the merchants won't let me.

It's been a while since I posted here, expect some blogs about my recent game purchases and more in the coming weeks. This blog is a rant, about something that's got me angry right now.

So yesterday I wanted to buy the Playstation Vita from the Walmart where I work. Everywhere there are the advertisements saying it will be sold on the 15th. When I talked to the electronics associates, whom admitted they had them in stock (plus I even saw one stored away behind a counter) I was told they can't sell it until the 22nd. I said that the advertisement they have is false, and admitted I may take my business elsewhere. It's so dumb that they could have the Vita there, but not sell it to you because of some asinine technicality. They even sell the games already, why those and not the system? There is no logic to it at all.

So I took my business elsewhere. I bought 2 games, a case, and a memory card at EB Games (Gamestop). But they won't sell me the Vita either. They say only those who pre-ordered it can purchase it now. Others have to wait until the next shipment arrives on wednesday.

This is an very, poor business choice. It's like, do you want me to buy the stupid system or not Sony? Whatever the reason is for doing this, it's quite simply dumb, and I'm upset that I have 2 games I can't even play yet. I'm losing an extreme amount of respect for Sony for teasing people like this.

World Of Wracraft Annual Pass: "Free" bonuses + Deus Ex

Not too long ago I came back to World Of Warcraft after taking a break for over 2 months. I find myself enjoying it more and more, even though I never get to raid nowadays. Since I am having a great time with it, I decided to sign up for something called the annual pass, something Blizzard started to try and keep people playing WoW. The deal: you agree to keep your WoW account active for a year (under a contract you cannot cancel), and you will get the standard edition of Diablo III for free when it is released, along with a free World Of Warcraft mount, and beta access to the new WoW expansion.

At first I was against signing up for this, but I am having fun with WoW, I collect mounts in the game, I already planned to purchase the regular edition of Diablo III, so I finally caved in today, and I will be getting all the "free" stuff, lol. I just need to make sure I play enough WoW to make it worth the cash. :P

For the first time I am using the 6 month payment plan, it'll at least save me some money overall. If you really like WoW, and wanna check out this deal, check your WoW account on the battle.net site, it'll only show the offer if you qualify for it.

--------------------------------------

Now to talk about a completley different game. I've been meaning to blog about this, but have not found the time until now. Several weeks ago, I purchased Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC (though I missed the Steam sale where it was $13 cheaper, darn it  ). I had never played a Deus Ex game before, so I was glad they made this a prequel so at least I'd understand what's going on. I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed this game.

I have beaten it 2 times on normal difficulty, and at the moment I am on my 3rd playthrough, still on normal, trying to get the achievement for not killing anyone. I won't go into much detail about the game now, maybe I'll write a review sometime, but lets just say at this moment I'm feeling it deserves a score of9.0.

----------------------------------------------

That's all for now, God bless, and take care! :D

Level 50 and my return to Gamespot

Hey all, it's been a very long time since I was active here, while I do make occasional posts, and I check new game info all the time (such as reviews), my last blog post was on Christmas, and I have not even so much as looked at the union pages I am a part of.A lot has been going on lately. I got a job at Walmart earlier this year, I am a Courtesy Associate, aka cart pusher. It's a fine starter job, but I hope to move onto something else, indoors, where I don't often almost get killed by all the lawbreakers in cars out there who go 50 mph and turn without looking in the lot xD lol. (I deserve hazard pay :P ) .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aside from that, while my job has limited the amount of time I spend on games, some of the money I have earned has been spent on gaming stuff. Before Christmas my brother bought our friends PS3, and because of my job I was finally able to pay him back, and also buy games. Together my brother and I have gotten both inFamous games, Vanquish, Portal 2, and a bunch more. Among the games we got with the system from my friend though, lies my favorite PS3 title, Metal Gear Solid 4. I may have mentioned in a blog a while back that I became an MGS fan withing the past year, I had beaten MGS 1, 2, 3, Portable Ops, Peace Walker, and then I beat MG4... over and over again, lol. Safe to say I am very eager to get Metal Gear Rising, whenever that is out.

A lot of my gaming nowadays has been on the PC,also. I use Steam constantly, and I have purchased some awesome games through it. Most notably is my recent purchase of Fallout: New Vegas, and two of the expansion packs for it. It was through a sale, so I only payed about $20 overall (I saved about 40 bucks!) . I am enjoying it, the reason I got it was because I bought the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 and played it to death, and I knew New Vegas would be one I would enjoy as well.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently, I finally purchased a Nintendo 3DS when the price dropped to $170. My store told me they put them up for sale on the 10th, 2 days before the official nationwide price drop, I got mine on the 11th and activated the Nintendo eShop in time to become an "Ambassador", which means I'll get 10 free pre-selected NES games starting on September 1st, followed by 10 GBA games later in the year (woot! :D ) .

The onlynew game I have so far for my new handheld is The Legend Of Zelda The Ocarina Of Time 3DS

I have been greatly enjoying this remake. I had years before this release played through the game on the Gamecube port (I played some of the N64 version, not all of it though.

Also I did get 3 eShop titles,TLOZ:Link's Awakening (I played and loved the original when I was a child, also I have the DX version on GBC, however I wanted it on virtual console as well, since it's easier to access), and I got Inchworm, an animation software with apparently a lot to offer in the way of tools, however it saves everything to system memory, which is limited, and exporting to an SD card only goes so far as you can't import until a possible future update. The last title I got, is Spotto!, which is a pretty fun cheap$2 game.

I'm looking forward to most of the titles currently announced for this year, however my most wanted title is Metal Gear Solid 3 (gasp!), I know it's a port with new features, but I'll love the new stuff, plus I want to play this on a handheld :P , I just hope they don't edit the core game down too much.

---------------------------------------------------------

As this blog title first announces, yes, I have finally reached level 50, aka Strawberry Candy. It took long enough, since the only thing that was really earning me points was logging in every day to read news, lol.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Well this time I really mean I am returning to the site, I miss talking online about my favorite hobby with others. And now that I finally have current gen stuff (a PS3 and a 3DS) I will be able to keep up with the new games. Just wait till the PS Vita is out, I'm buying one at launch, I'll probably be blogging about that thing like crazy, lol.

------------------------------------------------------------

That's all for now, I'll be around the boards soon, and I'll stop by unions as well. Have a great week all, God bless! :D

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Hey everyone, it's been a long time again. I meant to at least make a blog for Thanksgiving, but I just don't have time for this site like I used to. Why? Well I blame World Of Warcraft for that mostly, lol. It's been just over a year since I started playing, and two level 80s later (and some lower level toons)I am still enjoying it very much. And today, I got a copy of Cataclysm for Christmas from my parents, so I can finally level my 80s to 85, and I can start leveling a Goblin rogue, which is something I have wanted to do for a long time.

Anyway, I decided there's no way I wanted to miss out on making my annual Christmas blog! So here I am, I don't know when I'll make my next blog, so I'll update you a bitnow on what's been going on with me in the gaming world these past months, also I'll let you know what I got for Christmas this year.

Several months ago, my brother purchased my friends PS3, and with it several games. MW2, Assassins Creed 2, LBP, FF13, and MGS 4. I played and beat AS2, MW2, and MGS 4. MGS 4 was so mind blowing, I loved every minute of it and I replayed it about 3 times so far, and I'm looking forward to getting Rising. It's so awesome to finally have a current gen system. :)

For the PS3, my cousin gave me and my brother Call Of Duty: Black Ops. I'm really liking that so far.

Also I got $20 from my aunt and uncle, which I am going to put towards getting Fallout 3: GOTY Edition. From them I received a gift card to one of my favorite restaurants: Chipotle. (Gotta love burritos :) )

From my parents, I got Catacylsm as I mentioned at the beginning of this blog. I'm happy to have that and finally be able to use the new content in World Of Warcraft. Also they got me and my bro the Clash Of The Titans, and Prince Of Persia movie on blue ray. Plus I got a starbucks gift card (frappes FTW :D ).

Aside from games, and the gifts I got for Christmas, not too much has been going on in life lately, I'm just trying to find a job (admittedly I slacked on filling out applications this month, but I'm going to put in more very soon), please pray that I can find one soon. ;)

Other news: Here on Gamespot I still do log in from time to time to check on new details for upcoming games, and as a result of logging in, I got XP, and reached the level of 45, called Mishima Zaibatsu. I think I may receive an emblem soon too, as I participated in voting on every page for the readers choice awards thing for games.

That is all for now, I'm getting ready to hang with some friends and family for Christmas, I can't believe it's already time to celebrate Christ's b-day again lol, I hope you all have a very blessed day, whether you celebrate it or not. God bless, and:

Merry Christmas! :D

Back From Another Break

Hi all, I took yet another break from this site, only returning here and there to post a few things, though my last blog was in July. A lot has happened since then. I'll stick mostly to the gaming news, as a few months ago I finally got my new PC. The new PC is incredible, my last one was more than 6 years old, so it's about time I can play some of the newer games. I am still going to try and get a PS3 when I can, but at the moment I don't have a job so that will have to wait for a while.

The PC was a gift from my family, along with it I got 2 games:

Just Cause 2 (PC) Just Cause 2(PC)

This was one of my most anticipated games. I already beat it, and I am working on the long journey of reaching 100% complete. The combat is fun, the scenery is beautiful, the pyhsics are awesome. There are only two things this game lacks, one is a good story, which really isn't much of a problem as the gameplay makes up for it. The other is lack of money. Seriously, you can get a lot of cash, especially if you are a completionist and look for all the cash bonuses. But you don't really feel free to use the black market as it drains your funds rather fast. So the black market is more of an emergency thing. But still you can find plenty of vehicles and weapons on the field.

I also have several add-on packs which make the game a little more insteresting, such as extra vehicles (a monster truck with a mounted grenade launcher), guns (an "air gun" that canliterally send enemies flying), and a special pack for your parachute that basically turns it into a fast vehicle as it adds two engines, one on each side of the parachute, which you can activate to fly fast.

Overall I think I'd give this game a 9.0, I recommend it for any action fan, just don't take the game too seriously, everything is very over-the-top. If you have not seen a trailer, just watch one and see what I mean. :P

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other game purchased the day I got my new PC was:

Crysis: Maximum EditionCrysis: Maximum Edition

This pack includes the original Crysis game, along with it's expansions Warhead and Wars. The core game is absolutely amazing. The visuals are great, though even with my new PC I can't handle it on the highest graphics (that will change when I eventually get a new graphics card somewhere down the road). Also the gameplay is simply fantastic, there's so much to do, so many ways to approach a situation. And the story is very interesting, and once the game ends you definitely feel like you want more. And though we are a while away from Crysis 2's release, the expansion pack "Warhead" adds another layer onto the core game's story as you play from another soldiers perspective, "Pyshco". That expansion is just as good as the core game, the only problem I have is a personal one, there is a lot of "salty" language, more so than the first game. I'd rather do without that sort of thing, but as it stand, this is one fantastic FPS I don't think any shooter fan should miss out on.

------------------------------------------

Aside from those 2 games, I have also purchased a couple others over time, taking advantage of Steam sales:

Borderlands (PC) Borderlands (PC)

Despite the unflattering box art, this game really is rather funny. It has an off-beat humor to it, and it is fun to play. You choose from one of 4 different cla$$es, then you level up, and spend points in a talent tree unique to each cla$$. For instance, playing as a "Solider" allows you to have a turret which also has a shield attached to it which you can spawn every so often. You spend points with that cla$$to make it so the turret can provide healing, provide ammunition, or you can focus more on your own abilities making yourself a "tank", so you can virtually aggro the enemies to you while your teammates down them. Also along the way you can find many varieties of "rare" guns. White weapons are common, green are less common, blue are rare, purple are really rare, and orange (I have not seen one yet) are even more rare than purple. And the more rare they are, the better they are for the level the can use them.

Playing it online really is the way to have a better experience.

Overall this isn't a game for everyone, aside from content issues some may not like, it isn't a straight up FPS, for instance, aside from the other RPG elements I mentioned, when you shoot enemies you actually see how much HP you take off, also you need to level up by grinding and completing quests. Much of this game, from the loot system, the talent trees, the cla$$es, to the whole HP and XP thing really reminds me of a game like World Of Warcraft, but just in the form of a shooter. This is a fun hybrid of genres, and fans of both should probably check out this game.

I also have two add-on packs that increase the content by a lot. Though I have not played much of them yet, so this score I have is only for the core game thus far: 8.0.

---------------------------

Another game I got from a Steam sale was:

Company Of Heroes Company of Heroes

The original price was $10, but it was on sale for $2.49. The expansion packs were on sale too, but I did not have the money for them at the time, and I figured I didn't need them anyway as I didn't know how I would like this game yet. Turns out it is a very incredible WWII experience. I am not that far into the game yet, but it is already hard and intense, I am not very good at RTS games as I have not played many in a long time, but this game has gotten me interested in the genre a lot again.

--------------------------------------

One game I do not yet have, but will be getting soon is:

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

I mentioned this a while back, I have been into the MGS series as of earlier this year, andI am very eager to play this one.

-----------------------------------

Other games I have acquired are a Dungeon Siege game for PSP, and another copy of Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS, both were given to me by a friend. I know, I have a rather interesting variety of games I am into :P

Animal Crossing WW is simply a good relaxing game, fun to play when I am taking a break from all the other intense games I play lol. I'm glad I have a second copy as new I can build a whole new town. :)

Other than that I just, as of yesterday, started taking a break from World Of Warcraft. I was really addicted and need some time off. If you are into WoW you'll understand the following: I had been raiding in ICC a lot (unfortunately my guild can't get to LK and down him) and my hunter now has a 5701 GS! Also I have a level 63 priest, who will eventually become a healer for dungeons and raids, and a DPS for PvP. I'll provide pictures when I can of my toons.

------------------------------------

That's it for the gaming news. Now, I have been on this site here and there, as I was saying before, and I did gain a level or two. My new level is 44, and is called "Violence Fight". Also I have earned a new emblem for entering a bracket into the "Greatest Villain" contest.

-----------------------------------

I'm going to take up posting in forums again, as I completely dropped my responsibilities to my own union, and as an officer in others, so, don't worry I won't suddenly disappear again this time lol. :P

I've been out of the loop on just about everything with you guys, but I'm also going to be reading blogs again, though there may be too many to keep up with them all, you will likely see a comment from me from time to time.

That's it for now, I'm glad to be back here again as it is a great website with a amazing community. Take care everyone, talk to you soon, God bless! :)

Happy Independence Day! + Mega Updates

Hi everyone, first off, yep, once again I disappeared lol. But here I am, with a big blog. I have gaming updates, more than any others.

So lets start with the gaming updates first:

If you read my blog about the MGS: The Essential Collection, you may recall that I was eager to purchase Portable Ops for my PSP, well I finally got it, in a downloadable bundle though, with the stand alone multiplayer expansion and a digital graphic novel. Here are the boxshots of each:

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus (PSP) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus

Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel

So lets start with Portable Ops. I beat the game a long while ago already, I just don't blog much nowadays so really I have had it for quite a bit, I just didn't let you guys/girls know in any blogs until now. :( Lol. Anyway, the game is great, I didn't know what to expect what with the story being presented in a comic book$tyle but they really pulled it off quite well! I was thrilled with the game, I just wish the multiplayer modes were a little more populated.

That's where Portable Ops Plus comes in, it is supposed to be an expanded multiplayer game, but I was only able to get into a game for a little bit (there were not a whole lot of people on, and the ones who were on were in full rooms or ones that would not let me join for some reason), and it was not such a great experience, especially since it kicked me off the connection before we could even finish the game. I may attempt to play Portable Ops Plus again sometime, and hopefully it will be a better experiance then.

I have not seen much of the Digital Graphic Novel yet, but from what I did see, it was really interesting. As soon as I hae time and feel like it, I'll sit down and watch/read it.

----------------------------------------------------------

Not too long after purchasing that MGS bundle on PSN (Playstation Network), I also purchased, on PSN:

Sega Genesis Collection (PSP) Sega Genesis Collection (PSP)

I grew up in the 90's, and I was really into the NES and Sega Genesis. So getting this collection with over 28 Sega Genesisgames for just over $17was pretty awesome. Though, most of these games I did not play, and some of them I already had on an old Windows 98 PC game. Even though I didn't play a lot of these games, it's still nice to play them now and see some cool games I missed out on a long time ago. Also it's absolutely a blast to have these on my PSP so I can play them wherever I go. :)

----------------------------------------------

More recently, about a little more than a week ago, I purchased a game I had been wanting for a long time:

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edtition (PC) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game Of The Year Edition (PC)

A year or two ago, I purchased The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game Of The Year Edition for my PC. Though I really wanted this game, I didn't think any of the computers we have at my house would play it, plus it's rated M, and until earlier this year there a no M rated game rule in our house.

Well I enjoyed Morrowind, though quite honestly I never got to the main quests. I'm glad I got that game when I did, because now the GOTY edition of Oblivion is only $20. And as it turns out, one of our computers can handle it, it just has to run on medium graphics.

I know some people love this game, but some loyal fans really don't like it compared to Morrowind. I do have to say, Morrowind had some things that were better than what's in Oblivion, such as the ability to become a werewolf (supposedly you can do this with a mod for oblivion, but I prefer to play this kind of game in it's vanilla form), and also Morrowind had the Morag Tong, a "good" assassins guild. This game, however, only allows you to become a member of the evil rival assassins guild called the Dark Brotherhood. It seems that the Dark Brotherhood are everywhere, even the main map of Oblivion, but the Morag Tong just doesn't go beyond Morrowind. Go figure, it would have been so awesome to play in their guild in this game, lol. Aside for those minor grievances, and one or two other ones not really worth mentioning, the game as a whole, in my opinion, is a much better game than Morrowind.

One new feature which I like is the option to purchase (or aqquire by other means eg. stealing) a horse which you can ride all around the map. It makes travelling easier, but an even nicer feature is the ability to instantly travel to other places you have visited before, though cities let you travel to them in this way regardless of whether you have been to them or not.

Anyway, other improvements include a vastly improved stealth system, which makes it easier to geta6x damage attack sneaking up on someone, or to pick pocket someone, or to pick the lock on a door/chest/other various container. Also, though this may be a minor improvement to some, ragdoll physics make the characters react in a much more realistic way to your attacks.

So far I have an Orc Warrior in the Dark Brotherhood, a Khajit thief (custom thiefcla$$) in the Thieve's guild (I beat all of the quests for that guild), and an Imperial Warrior, which is my main character, whom I completed all of the Fighters Guild quests with, and the arena quests, and which I am currently doing the main story quest line with. This game already, though I have only had it for a short time, gets at least a 9.0 from me.

--------------------------------------------------------

A few games I am looking forward to getting are Metal gear Solid: Peace Walker,Super Scribblenauts, and Just Cause 2 (for PC).

The last one I mentioned there however is not one that would work on any of our computers. Luckily though, I will soon get a new computer that should handle the game quite well, as well as be able to play my Oblivion game, and World Of Warcraft game on high graphics. :)

Just Cause 2 is a crazy, insane, over the top, yet very fun game. I played the demo for the first game which got me even mroe interested in the games, then my friend brought his PS3 over to my house several times, and two times I got a chance to play the demo for Just Cause 2. The first time I did bad playing it, but the second time I understood how it works more, and I was able to do all sorts of crazy stuff. I'm seriously looking forward to finally having that game on PC. :)

----------------------------------------------------------

One last gaming update, is that I finally renewed my World Of Warcraft Subscription about 2 weeks ago. I had not played it on my account for over 3 months, and decided I had a long enough break from it and I wanted to level a new character. I made a Blood Elf Priest before my subscription ran out last time, and now I decided I want to get him to level 80, though I am working on getting one last bind on account trinket for him. Here is a recent screenshot I uploaded to Gamespot not too long ago, it is my main toon Lurttz, he is level 80, and is standing with my newest pet, which I named Echelon:

My main World Of Warcraft toon Lurttz with his pet Echelon.

Pretty epic huh? Lol, I totally need gear with better stats. :p

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might recall I was supposed to make an in-depth review for Demon Hunter's (a band I really love) latest album. But I'm putting that off for now, and I will make the review in time, and it will first appear on another website I am a part of that is specifically for music reviews. I might actually just link to that site when I have the review done.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so today is the fourth of July, Independence Day. :)

We already had our cookout with some friends yesterday, tonight me and my bro are gonna hang out and watch some local fireworks. No matter how old I get, it's always thrilling to watch them each year. :)

Before I end this blog, I want to aplogize for not responding to some comments on some of my preivious blogs, I just don't have the time to keep up with this site like I used to lol. Rest assured though, from this point forward I will make more of an effort to respond to comments and PMs. ;)

Well, God bless everyone, I hope you have a great week, take care and

Happy Independence Day! :D

Internet is back / Sup everyone?

Hey everyone, I have not been on because for nearly two weeks I have not had internet, though as of today it is finally back. We decided to switch our ISP at my house, and ran into some problems. It's a long story, but in the end I am back at last, and almost ready to make a full blog, though I need some time to get stuff together for it, so expect that by tomorrow or later.

So, unfortunatley I have missed out on all of E3 thus far, which makes me a bit upset as every year I watch it and try to get the emblems for it, now I don't know that I will be able to do that. :(

Anything new with you guys/girls?

Any thoughts onE3 so far? Any major news? Anything got you hyped up?

Let me know in comments. ;)

I'll give my thoughts onE3 as soon as I get time to watch stuff from it.

That's all for now, be back soon with another blog, take care and God bless! :D

Metal Gear Solid EC, Demon Hunter, 3 Years on Gamespot + More

Hi everyone, glad to be back and writing another blog for you finally. A lot has been going on, most of the stuff I will talk about here will be good stuff, but first I wanted to ask something of you guys/girls, my grandmother (my Dad's mom) passed away earlier this month, she was 90 years old and died of problems due to old age. Please pray for my family, I myself am doing ok, I sadly did not know her that well as she lived in a different state, but my parents, and my Dad's other family members are, of course, having a hard time.

-------------------------

Ok so aside from that sad part of this blog, I have other news of what's going on, most of it video game, movie, and music related.

First I'll talk about Metal Gear Solid. If you have not seen my blog where I talked about Splinter Cell 3, my parents finally lifted their R- rated movie M- rated game ban from our home, (bout time, being 20 and not being able to play an M game or see an R movie in our own home kinda sucked lol) and as a result I have purchased several M rated games, and seen R rated movies I always wanted to before.

Anyway, I always wanted to play the Metal Gear Solid series, and was happy to find, and eventually purchase:

Metal Gear Solid: Essential Collection Metal Gear Solid: Essential Collection

This collection includes the first Metal Gear Solid game, which was for the PS1, and it takes 2 discs. Also it includes MG2: Sons Of Liberty director's cut, more commonly known as Substance. And MGS 3 is also included in an expanded edition called Substinence, which says it has 2 discs, but this 3 game pack only includes the first disc, I think that is because the second disc is mainly for multiplayer, which if I remember correctly, I heard the servers for it were taken offline a while back.

So, I already beat all 3 of these games, actually the third one I beat 3 times and I am currently on my fourth playthrough trying to unlock everything the game has (Yeah I got too much time on my hands at the moment, lol).

The first game was hard at first to get used to, then after a while I was hooked on the story and fell in love with it, then I moved onto MGS 2 right away after I beat MGS 1, and played it a lot, though I did not try to unlock everything like I am in MGS 3. MGS 3 surprised me as I did not expect it to be a prequel. Quite honestly, when it comes to gameplay in particular, MGS 3 is my favorite of these games, it is, in a word, amazing. These games are a must have for all gamers in my opinion.

Now, whenever I can afford it,I am going to try and get the MGS PSP download bundle on the Playstation store which includes the first PSP MGS game called Portable Ops, Portable Ops Plus, which is a multiplayer expansion, and a digital MGS comic. Then later on I plan to get MGS: Peacewalker, which is a new MGS game for PSP coming out soon, and finally when my brother and I finally get a PS3, I want to get MGS 4.

Yes, it's official, I am a big MGS fan. :D I even changed my avatar to be Snake here on Gamespot.

I think these games are right up there on my favorites list next to the Zelda series.

-------------------------

Ok, now I'm going to talk about one of my favorite bands, Demon Hunter. Demon Hunter released a new album last month, I ordered the deluxe edition of it, but it turned out the store I ordered it from had it on backorder and said it would be delivered about a month later than it was supposed to come, so I cancelled with that store and ordered from another, only for it to go on backorder there too, turns out it was a manufacturers backorder.

I e-mailed Demon Hunter to find out if any more copies were being made of the deluxe edition, sadly they said no, it was only a limited edition. So instead I ordered, and just acouple days ago received my copy of the regular edition in the mail, I listened to it about 5 times now and I love it!

And, as it figures, I came upon the website fye.com where they said they had a copy of the deluxe edition in stock, so I ordered it and they already shipped it, so looks like now I will have both versions, lol. :P

Well nothing really wrong with that, I am a big Demon Hunter fan, and I am just glad I found somebody still selling it. Turns out it was $24 instead of the normal $30 too (the only other places that seem to sell it now are amazon and ebay, on amazon it seems people just bought the album to resell it for more since it was a limited edition, they are trying to get $100 per copy lol).

Anyway. now to actually talk about the album, as I said before I love it. The music sounds a bit different than their previous works, largely due to two band member changes.Don Clark, the lead singer Ryan Clark's brother, left the band, I think I heard it was because of more important things he had to focus on in life, like his main job running Invisible Creature. Also the other guitarist left, I am notabsolutely sure why, but I think it was because he joined Relient K or something.

The new guitarists Patrick Judge and Ryan Helm are really great too though. It's always sad to see band members change, but the new ones in Demon Hunter giver it a little bit more of a heavier sound. I'm happy with the choice of guitarists Demon Hunter chose to replace the other ones, though I will always miss Don and Ethan playing the guitars. :(

If you are a fan of Demon Hunter, or just metal music in general, my suggestion is that you buy the album ASAP. The only negative thing about the album, in my opinion, is that it is a little too short.

I will write an in depth review of this new album, titled "The World Is A Thorn"in the coming days and then post it here.

Another update I have, is that, as of March 12, 2007 I have been a member here for 3 years. I would have made a blog about it, but as you may have known I was really addicted to WoW for a time. On March 31st my time ran out though, and thus the reason you see me here now, instead of spending more time on that lol. I do want another time card eventually, but having more time to play other games and do other things as a result of not having WoW feels kinda nice, lol. My level 80 orc hunter can wait, I'm putting more focus on getting other games, and doing other things (like trying to get a job) for right now.

-------------------------

I have seen some pretty good movies so far this year, I never got to blog about them, but here are 3 I recommend seeing, in no particular order:

1. Shutter Island: More psychological thriller than horror, this film is dark and disturbing, and will really play with your emotions. The negative thing, in my opinion,is it has a load of swearing, something the movie could have done without as it adds nothing to it, it could have done just as well without it.

2. Edge Of Darkness: Based on a BBC series, this movie has Mel Gibson as a cop, seeking to find answers to the murder of a loved one. Yet again, this is another movie that has a lot of language, wade through it though and you hav a well made, interesting thriller.

3. Clash Of The Titans: One, if not the favorite movie I have seen this year, must be seen in 3D in my opinion. The action scenes are fantastic, made better by Real 3D. While I hear this movie isn't right on with the cla$$ic, (which honestly I don't remember seeing), it is great fun.

As another update, I realised I don't think I ever made a blog about me leveling up here on Gamespot, but I did a while back, I hit level 41, called Thunder Force, now though I am almost level 42 lol.

-------------------------

Well, that really is it for right now, I'll come back next week with another full blog, though I will make a short one in the middle of the week to show off some cool images from Demon Hunter's new ablum I think you guys/girls should see, along with the in depth review I said I would make.

Take care, have a great weekend, and God bless! :D

Easter

Happy Easter!

I know this is a day later, but to be honest I just forgot to post it yesterday. :(

So for easter, my family and I first went to church, and heard a pretty awesome easter sermon. Then afterwards we went to a local resturant which we like a lot, and which we eat at for easter every year as a tradition. One thing I love about that resturant is their saganaki. Saganaki is some kind of cheese made from goats milk (there are other things it can be made with), they bring the cheese out to you in a pan, some kind of alchohol is poured on it, they light it on fire, then douse the flames and put lemon juice on it. That cheese is so good, if you ever see saganaki in a resturant, order it, you won't regret it. :P

So later then, me and my family just hung out back at home for the rest of the day.

So how was your easter? What did you guys/girls do to celebrate?

Alive

Hey everyone, just checking in to see what's up, and let you all know I'm still alive lol. I never did a lot of things I said I would, like make a big blog with screenshots of my character from WorldOf Warcraft, or get active in the unions I am a part of, or post on your blogs... anyway, so yeah, I'm back again (for the millionth time, tired of these blogs yet?), lol, WoW is still a huge reason for my inactivity on pretty much every website I used to use a lot.

So,what's up? Anything new with you guys/girls? Any blogs with big news I missed out on I should see?
