Haha who says an evil mastermind can't listen to music? After I've done a days trap laying with my puppet billy these are the songs I like to listen too (Note: These are my current top 5 but they are likely to change completely by the end of the week!) :D
WAYLT Jigsaw- Edition :)
In at Number 5 this week:
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
The Red Jumpsuit Apperatus... I have to admit that until resently I hadn't even heard of this band, but thanks to the one itunes recomendation that actually lead me somewhere, I began to listen to a few of their tracks and two caught my attention 1. Face Down - which is a great song that tells of the issue of domestic violence against women, and the singer himself taunts the very men that preform these acts of violence asking: "Do you feel like a man when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well I tell you my friend one day this worlds gonna end, as you lies come around, a better life she has Found!" Another of their tracks from this band is.... 2.Guardian Angel - Which is a another emotion song from the band, the story of this song is that the lead singer is promising to a person he loves that he will protect them, no matter what "I'll stay with you, even if saving you sends me to heaven"
In at number 4 this week:
Jimmy Eat World
Jimmy Eat World.... I first can across this band on one of the many music channels on the TV, and when the catchy guitar intro started up on my first chosen song I was hooked. 1. The Middle - This song story is a tale of not fitting in (being in 'The Middle') and not caring what any one else has to say about that and just living and acting how you want. "Hey! don't write yourself off yet. It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just try your best, try everything you can . And don't worry what they tell themselves when your away..." 2. Always Be - Always Be is about a boy (I put boy because thats the image I seem to get the character would be when listening to this song around 16-19ys), who knows no matter what he does the girl he wants no longer loves him and he feels will never again love him.... "I'm alone in this, I'm a arse I've always been, right behind whats happening"
And.... At Number 3:
My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance... Say what you like about this band, call then Emo, and put them down because of it but no matter what you feel about My Chemical Romance they have under their belt one of the greatest rock albums produced, (I'm in no way saying that they're number one but their album Black Parade was a huge hit) and one of the songs from that album 1. Black Parade was a massive success for the band and help catapult them into mainstream fame - the song itself is (IMO) about... well its quite a tale really... A father tells his son of a fantastic parade that moved through the city before he passes away, the son himself then passes away and joins his father in The Black Parade which consists of the dead as they walk through the city to there final resting place... "When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band...." 2.Famous Last Words - A song about a man apealling for the woman he loves to come back, even though deep down he knows that no matter what he cannot change her mind "Now I know, that I can't make you stay but where's your heart.... But where's your heart... But where's your...."
Number 2 on this week:
Jon Lajoie
Haha now for something a little less serious.... Many of you won't have heard of him, but those of you that know him from youtube or have even bought his album. Know that this man is a comedy genius, although one of aquired tastes. His songs range from topics such as: Singing about his crew to his problem of 'getting a little excited' too fast. 1. WTF COLLECTIVE - You thought D12 and NWA where good? haha this song is the comedians take on 'Group rap' videos whereas each Mc takes a turn a singing a small part, their are twelve Mc's in this video and they all rap about subjects related to their names Mc Confusing, Mc Insacure, Mc Fatiuge, Mc **** My Pants Freqently, To name a few... "Mc Fatiuge, yeah thats me when I step on the mike I f**king fall asleep". 2. I Kill People - This could be dubbed the 'Worst Rap Video in the world' but the genious part of this video is that it is meant to be! Watch Mc Vagina as he busts some of the badest lyrics around about, How many people he's killed and the burning of old people! :) "I'm bad... Like the film attack of the clones... I'm dangerous, like a fire in a nursing home, Old people burning! Old people burning put your hands up!"
And Finally Number 1 This Week:
Breaking Benjamin
Breaking Benjamin.... What a band, although several of my friends here in the Uk have never heard of them they are ultimatly my favourite band. Now my origin story about this band is this: I first discovered this band back in the old ps2 days, I think it was on Smackdown Vs Raw and the song Firefly first came on I was instantly hooked, from their range of hard hitting songs to their softer melodies Breaking Benjamin is my Number One band of the moment...
1. Dance With The Devil - A song about mmmm... A difficult one to explain... I believe the song to be about betral and hurt but a chance to be offered redemption, (Which is being offered by the singer) The chocie ethier redemption for past mistakes or a dance with the devil... "Say goodbye as we dance with the devil tonight, don't you dare look at him in the eye"
2. Dear Agony - A man faces the end and wants to keep living for redemption, (Dear agony perhaps being an angel or even God) "Dear agony, just let go of me, suffer slowly.. Is this the way its gotta be!"
Hope you enjoyed that... and if you read the whole thing congrats! :D
