If Biden was so good why are we now involved in two proxy wars? Trump destroyed ISIS and took out two other bad actors.

Biden did go after Trump. The attorneys' that were prosecuting Trump had regular meetings with the White house attorneys. You guys need to get the truth once and a while.

Biden did that because Trump's DOJ was going after Hunter. That's the reason. No, the DOJ didn't cover for Hunter. He wouldn't have had a trial if they had. That gun issue is never prosecuted. Don Jr has guns and he's coked up all the time. Why aren't you talking about that? Double standard? The IRS allows you to pay any taxes back and they add some penalties and fees. They don't prosecute if you pay them back. Hunter was charged because the GOP weaponizes the Justice System.

I posted last spring that Biden would pardon his son, and explained why. So, I was not shocked or surprised. Now Hunter can not use the Fifth Amendment to refuse to testify before congress on his dad's involvement in his business dealings.

Went to bed early, got up a couple hours ago and I'm catching up on the news.

Not exactly shocked; people are scared and Trump is the candidate for scared people, for knee-jerk "let's just be safe" voters.

I'm really curious what really swung this vote. Did democrats take the minority vote for granted? Did they alienate enough black and brown people (conservative black voters, pro-Palestine Arab-Americans, etc)...or was this just the Boomer generation being Boomers?

Yup.

And not by a small margin, either. Was pretty surprised by some of the counts. Harris lost (at this point, at least) the popular and electoral vote.

Interesting times, to say the least.

Yeah, the tariff thing is idiotic. People don't understand it's not a penalty for foreign goods producers, it's a penalty against consumers buying foreign goods. AKA the working class.

Walmart will keep purchasing goods from China, whether there's a 20% tariff or not or whatever. The thing is, the cost increase of importing goods get's passed on to the consumer with increased prices.

But we don't pay attention to this, because God-King Trump is going to make us pay less taxes, which not-so-ironically adds to the deficit because a.) we aren't generating as much tax revenue from the lower rate, and b.) cost of goods has gone up so any savings is cancelled out, resulting in bad times for all.

Well, bad times for mostly all. The 1% will be fine.

But it's OK, economic guru Elon Musk said "we will have to go through tough times, but things will be better" lol.
