Regarding Wii Online

When I originally heard Iwata say that customers do not want online games, I laughed out loud about how naive a president of a gaming company can be! At that most everyone I knew was exclusively playing competetive multiplayer games, online or offline.

If Nintendo wants to convince anyone to pay for Wii online at all though, they will need to update their online model to something not remeniscent of gaming in the early 90's.

It would take a spectacular innovation for me to ever think about paying for a service that even the lousy PSN puts to shame.

Gears Mania

Seeing the Gears of War 3 trailer has really fired me back up again for wanting to play Gears of War 2 online. That, plus the overload of single player games I have given myself lately has pushed me back to the game I love to hate.

Who wants to play some Gears on XBL and get frustrated with me?!! WOO!

When will this game come out?

I want to know whenthe following game is coming out so I can put it on my tracked games list:

Super Streetfighter IV EX hyper fighting HD remix Alpha Plus tournament edition Max

Marriage and Honeymoon

In exactly 8 days I will be experiencing my final moments of my bachelor life.

What will this mean for my future? I really don't see a whole lot changing, at least at first. I will definately enjoy the Married life and am really looking forward to it.I especially am looking forward to leaving the country for the first time in my life. We are taking a cruise to mexico (Cabo, La Paz, and Mazatlan) for about 8 days, it's gonna be beautiful and relaxing.

Being the gamer that I am, my wife and I will definately be taking our DS's with us to play on the plane trip and at the hotel in San Diego and such. Recently Bought the new GTA game and Crosswords for her to play while we are gone.

I'll try to blog on my 360voice.com profile as well everyday so that I don't lose my gaming streak on xbox live (480 days currently! HOLY CRAP! http://360voice.gamerdna.com/tag/Tea2DaBagMantis)

Until then though, it's back to COD:WAW and RE:5 and Halo Wars for now!

Woot!

P.S. work is still hard work :) but more just brain hurting these days than anything!! All that's left to fix with our website project is really weird effed up stuff...

Work is a lot of WORK!

Oh man,

I'm glad it's saturday but this time around the weekend doesn't mean much! This has been pretty much the busiest week of my life putting in 5 12+ hour days so far, and I'm gonna be doing some work today and tomorrow too...

It's going to pay off when it's done though as we are going to have much more control over our future actions! We have been working diligently at my place of employment to bring our website management in house, which has been a huge ordeal, but a major learning experience!

I managed to give myself about a half hour each night to play some guitar hero and kick back before going to bed and starting the whole grind house over again! :)

Another plus was I had to do a travel day and I had the coolest Suite to stay in. It had 3 plasma screen tv's! I was bummed I didn't bring my 360 :) oh well.

That's all from this Mantis for now, time is precious!

It's Comcastic

My Cable is out... it's no wonder Comcast has some of the worst rated customer care in the nation. They show up at our house, telling us they are here to shut off the cable for someone that doesn't live there anymore. We tell them that we have our own cable, he moved out. He says "Ok, but I need the modem." We tell him we already gave the modem back and got a new one when we hooked up our new cable service. He says "Ok" and leaves. Five minutes later the cable shuts off.

We call Comcast and they claim they know nothing about why are cable is off and they will send a technician to "investigate" tomorrow...

UGH!

Angry Mantis

Proof that I have bad luck: I'm playing Need for Speed: Underground, and I'm trying to hide from the police to evade them. Low and behold... a car spawns LITERALLY on TOP of my car. BUSTED!!!! OMFG LJDLFJSDFLOJRAWR!!! I need a break...

GTA IV drives me crazy

Something about that game isn't sitting right with me. I don't know if it's the annoyance level of the cops, the tedious side missions that lack any sort of reward, or extreme clunky-ness of the controls and the control scheme. As much fun as the game can be at times, it is just messing with my head with how frustrating some things have been. All in all the game is super easy, but I usually end up dying/failing missions, in the most bizarre ways. The motorcycle I was riding in one missions despawned out from under me for crap's sakes!

Gamer's Challenge

There is nothing like something for nothing. And all though it's not technically nothing in this case it feels enough like nothing! I'm talking about Old Spice Gamer Challenge's hosted by 360voice.com. The idea of the program is get a bunch of friends together into a competition, give them a week to play games and unlock achievements, and whoever gains the most gamerpoints in a week (or month depending on the amount of people and the prize) wins some pretty sweet swag in real life. We're talkin' stuff that would normally cost you your hard earned cash.

Sure if you really want to win a challenge you do have to compete, and I know that some of my friends can get pretty competitive not only when there are real prizes on the line, but for the inherint bragging rights that come along with a big W. I prefer to look at it from the point of view that I am already going to be playing the games... why not give myself a chance to get paid for it!

I lost the first challenge I participated in, on the last day pretty much in the last hour... but my current challenge (http://www.360voice.com/challenge/1739) is more promising! Wish me luck!
