So I started to browse in the Gamespot pages. Nothing out of ordinary. A little here, a little there, but then Gamespot passed me to a different 'Gamespot'. No, I'm not confusing Gamespot with 'Gamestop' (although I have done it sometimes). Gamespot transfered me to the official GamespotAsian site. Oddly enough, because I don´t remember clicking on a link to that site. Anyhow, I went back to my 'usual' Gamespot and visited other pages only to be redirected to 'another' Gamespot! This time was GamespotUK. However, this time I thought 'Meh, Let's see what they´ve got here.' They had a lot of great stuff there! Then I wondered if they had a page exclusively for Mexico. Yes, I'm a Mexican user (no, my favorite food is not tacos, nor burritos). And to my surprise (actually not) they had it (http://www.gamespotmx.com/); yet, when I get into the page, the only thing they show there is a white background and a big-kind of-enthusiastic message sayin': ¡Gracias!...
W8 WHAT?! Really?! L-Let me get this clear... They have one... but they don´t use it........ WHAT'S THE FREAKIN' POINT OF IT!
And that's not the worst part. Oh, no...What's even worse is that I know they will NEVER use it or update anything on it. You know why I know? Because it's the same for almost everything. It's not only in Gamespot. They try to do something for Latin America and then they must say:
"Y' know what? Now that we have the site/system/adaptations/anything for Latin-American users, and that we know that they will appreciate it... let´s not use it =D !!!" .......... ¬¬ Oh, for the love of God!
Another clear example of this is PS Home for PS3 (for the ones that don't know what I'm talking about, it is a free sim-like online game). Personally, I don't think it is the next big step for humanity or something like that, but, again, mexican users are left behind. 3-4 years have passed since I got my PS3 and I still can´t use this installment! Why?... Well, I still don't know...
Yes, if you are a U.S.A or any other country user that doesn't have this kind of problems, you´ve just wasted 5 minutes of your precious life. Nah, not really. In fact, you can be having a good time reading about our misfortune, and still don't give a damn about this! Yet, if you are a mexican or any other country that DOES have this problem, then you should understand my woe. Let me tell you something: nowadays, the videogame market in Latin America is increasing greatly. Actually, around 29% of the Mexican population is a gamer, and at least 4 out of 10 mexicans have played a videogame. These are a lot of persons!
By posting this I hope... Ok I don't really hope that something will change /: . Nah, I'm just posting this in case someones sees it and feels somehow identified and wants to comment something regarding this topic. So, you know what to do. If you ever find this blog (and I seriously don't think you will) post a comment (;
