Best album of the year, by far(and that's saying alot).

Kanye is great, but lyrically, Lupe is all over him

Jay z dosnt write his own lyrics.

Lil Wayne i aight i guess ,he paints a story, but does he make you think? Uhhhhh no

I never said I understood everything he's done. I just understand his concept. I understand what he's trying to get at. See, in this next album, he's going to talk about the characters in his "story". The characters are "The Cool", "The Streets", "The Game", and "Michael Young History". Here's somethin that will explain everything to you: http://www.hhnlive.com/board/read/1336

P.S. The Cool and The Game can be seen in the video of Superstar. Also, when you see the cover, you'll see three signs. The skeleton hand is representing The Cool(mentioned the skeleton hand in the song "the cool"), the skull is representing The Game(the skull has dice in his eyes and has smoke coming from his mouth which is mentioned in the song real recognize real and the sifer song wit styesp), and the heart lock is representing the streets(heart representing a female).

[QUOTE="Joga-Bonito"]see that's the problem wit hip hop these days. no one wants to listen to lyrics anymore......fat_rob
*kicks you off soap box* ninja, I listened to the lyrics, robots, skateboards, and a bunch of bullish...F&L was a good album, but you buggin if you think it's more then that...

See, I'm going to say this again. You still don't get it. It's not only about robots and skateboards. That's not even half of it. He's got a WHOLE other story going on. If you don't get it, you'll think he's terrible. But once you understand what he's talking about, you'll think that he's one of the greatest to every rap.

[QUOTE="TheBigTicket21"]Jay-Z hasn't influenced anyone. Who can seriously like this piece of trash. His wack rapping is only saved by the great beats he gets. After Reasonable Doubt he fell off hard.TheBigTicket21

Eminem's acceptance speech for best rap album (The Eminem Show):

"I made me a little list of MCs that I wanted to name off that inspired me to, to bring me where I am today - cause honestly, I wouldn't be here without them. So the list goes like this, and it's not in this order, but the list is this: Run-D.M.C., the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Kool G. Rap, Masta Ace, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Dr. Dre, all of N.W.A., KRS-One, Treach from Naughty by Nature, Nas, 2Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z. Thank you, 'cause I learned from all of you. Thank you."

Right,:|

Sorry I misunderstood the topic, Eminem does fall under the category, Eminem is weak, he doesn't bring anything to the game. Eminem is a moron, which isn't unexpected, because in his quote he just lists off a bunch of artists who made a good album. If Rakim, KRs-One, or Biggie had any influence on him, he might have an ounce of talent. If someone were to influence you, you might require some attributes of them, Eminem doesn't.

You've got to be kidding me right? Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time. Don't knock him because he's white, the dude's got serious skills. He's got that rare "tupac" voice. The type of voice that says "LISTEN TO ME, I GOT SOMETHIN TO SAY". And his lyrics are off the charts as well.

Honestly, I'm not surprised by this. Jay-z isfake and I've been sayin this since forever. Reasonable doubt was alright, Im not gonna knock dat album. But I think he's overrated. And stop saying he's a business, because he's not. He's just a **** wit money that's buyin a whole bunch of stuff. Hell, this guy is trying to move the Nets from New Jersey to BROOKLYN. BROOKLYN!! Yeah, that's a great business man alright......

I'm white, and no he doesn't have one of those voices.

Jay-Z is more overrated than 50 cent, he makes one ****c album, and then consistently puts out boring rap, from than on.

lol, it dosn't matter if ur white lol i kno white people who downplay eminem jus cuz he's white and they flat out wont give him a chance because of that.

i know everyone's got their opinion and stuff, but im really surprised by how much people dislike eminem on here. cuz i think he's a legend.

Yes, Eminem has alot to say:roll:. The only Eminem I like is the one from the Bad Meets Evil days. After that he just went for pure shock value. Jay-Z RUNS the rap game now. Wtf does his business skills have to do with anything? Go listen to RD, Blueprint and the Black Album and tell me if he's overrated. Man, you must be very overrated to be in the game for more then a decade.

That's kinda easy when you have people writing your stuff for you.

You guys don't get the cover. It's about the character from the song The Cool. He's making it more spooky and erie. And the skeleton hand represents the hand that the character has. The cover is SICK.

Plus, that's not the cover. This is the cover(which is even more sick)

http://childrebelsoldier.wordpress.com/2007/11/16/the-cover/
