Hello All,
As a few of you might know I'm not a child person. I can't stand my little brother for long periods of time, and many little kids look like monsters to me...Because of this, a recent offer I am in the process of making is even more odd. :o
My little brother has started T-ball, baseball when the ball sits on a stick (as little kids can't hit a zogging moving ball). His coach is a woman who knows VERY little about baseball. Because of the "reports" I've heard from my parents about how great she is at coaching I've offered to lend my aid for their practices.
I'm not great at baseball, I don't watch it very often, and I haven't played for awhile now, but at least I know what to do...like teaching the kids to catch balls rolling on the ground (90% of t-ball hits and throws).
Why am I doing this? Good question! I want his team to NOT get floored by one with an overbearing coach, I want the kids to actually learn a little bit about playing ball, and I feel her teaching is a mockery of the great national pasttime of baseball.
So, because of this, I might be spending even more time around five-year-olds. :| But at least it should be good exercise.
