No serious gamer uses a PC as their primary platform. Some girls use them for Twitch streaming and multi-tasking, but any professional gamer with a developed skill set knows that you get a PS4 for gaming.
@doctor_mg: Regardless, this is common knowledge. The PS4 "Pro" is designed for professionals. There's nothing wrong with playing on a casual platform, but if you want a Professional experience then you need to pony up for the real thing.
And after the shock factor of experiencing VR you realize why it will never be a factor in mainstream gaming.
Someone with both their visual and auditory input diverted from the real world is not only exponentially more likely to succumb to any potential dangers in their environment, but may become a danger to others in this state of impairment.
Sustained periods of sensory deprivation/modification may also be extremely compromising to an individual's mental and physical health. Symptoms including nausea, dizziness, vertigo, headaches, mental fatigue, insomnia, dissociation from reality, etc.
Implying that VR is the future of gaming is betting on the wrong horse. It's will never transcend middle class America's "scapegoat" status that parents will immediately place on such a device in response to why their children are so mental, allowing them avoid having their parenting behaviors brought into question.
